It is caused by playing with or being played with water. The fifth is the downfall of sleeping with a woman: it is established for those who have not cut off sexual desire, that a bhikkhu sleeps with a woman in the same place without a fellow practitioner, and spends the whole night. The sixth is the downfall of frightening people: a bhikkhu wants to frighten other bhikkhus, shows or has shown various unpleasant and terrifying scenes, causing him to be frightened. The seventh is the downfall of hiding: it is established for the group of six bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu hides or has hidden the robes and bowls and other necessities of life of any of the fivefold monastic community, not out of good intentions, but for the purpose of stealing, causing them to be hidden. The eighth is the downfall of using without trust: it is established for Nanda, that a bhikkhu takes back the clothes that he had previously given to another bhikkhu, not out of stealing or attachment, but without his permission, and enjoys them as he pleases. The ninth is the downfall of slander: it is established for Mdzebo and Sa-las-skyes, that a bhikkhu slanders another bhikkhu with any of the thirteen remaining offenses without the basis of seeing, hearing, or suspecting, and the other party knows about it. The tenth is the downfall of walking on the road with a woman: it is established for a bhikkhu who is going to Nyanyan, that a bhikkhu walks on the road with a woman who is not a relative without the company of a male fellow practitioner, and for each yojana that is exceeded, a downfall is committed, and for more than half, an offense of wrongdoing is committed. The eighth group, the chapter called "Many Guests and Thieves": Thieves are also the same. Ordaining someone who is not twenty years old. Digging the ground, inviting guests, eating more than four months of food. A listener who does not know how to speak and fight. Not speaking when innocent, walking and disrespecting are contrary. Drinking alcohol, at the wrong time, wandering in the village in the afternoon. As such, of the ten, the first is the downfall of walking on the road with a thief: it is established for a bhikkhu who is traveling on a journey, that a bhikkhu walks on the road with a robber or a gambler, or a merchant who has not been allowed, and it is the same as before, for each yojana that is exceeded, a downfall is committed. The second is the downfall of giving full ordination to someone who is not twenty years old: it is established for the son of Maudgalyayana, even if the person to be ordained is born including the placenta, it is counted as one.

If someone under the age of twenty receives full ordination while having doubts or hesitations about it, the Khenpo (preceptor) commits a downfall when the three karmic statements have been completed and the statement of action is about to begin. The Acharya (teacher) and the Sangha commit an offense. The third is the downfall of digging the earth, which, along with the fourth and fifth, was established for the group of six monks. A monk digs or causes to be dug earth that is known in the world to be hard and dense, without any special need, digging more than four fingers wide. The fourth is the downfall of staying longer than invited as a guest. Staying longer than the time the patron invited as a guest, or if no time was specified, staying and eating food for more than four months. The fifth is the downfall of rejecting instruction. When another monk urges oneself to learn the precepts, uttering words of rejection with a contemptuous tone, such as, "You don't know, I won't learn until I ask someone who knows," and being understood. The sixth is the downfall of eavesdropping. This was established for Nyerga. A monk eavesdrops on the conversation of himself and two or fewer other monks who are his opponents, not wanting to resolve the dispute but to incite the fight, and understands the meaning himself. The seventh is the downfall of leaving without speaking. This was established for Gawa. A monk who is qualified to be counted in the Sangha, having gathered first in the row of the Sangha's Dharma-abiding activities such as the Sojong (confession ceremony), before even making a request, without expressing the intention to establish harmony in the Sangha, or without telling the monks before and after him, leaves beyond the range of hearing. If he leaves after hearing the request, he commits an offense, but there is no downfall for those who are not qualified to be counted in the Sangha. The eighth is the downfall of disrespect. This was established for Nakpo, the son of the elephant stable owner. A monk, with regard to the actual presence of the Buddha, the Sangha of monks, or the appointed representative of the Sangha, any of these three, disrespectfully says "I cannot do it" to a Dharma-abiding instruction, without any room for compromise, and instead acts contrary to it. The ninth is the downfall of drinking alcohol. This was established for Lekong. Drinking fermented grain alcohol, wine, etc.
