Furthermore, whether you do good or evil, do not speak to me, thus placing the basis of displeasure at the end of the five preventions. The remaining meaning is stated in the root text: "A secluded place is a sheltered dwelling." Thus, two uncertainties are stated. In a secluded place without legal assistance, in a sheltered refuge, when monks and women dwell together, depending on whether that place is suitable for impure conduct, which of the three, Pārājika, Saṃghādisesa, or Niḥsargika Pācittiya, will that monk commit? Or it is uncertain whether Saṃghādisesa or Niḥsargika Pācittiya is committed, or it is uncertain what the thing will eventually become. These two uncertainties do not explicitly appear in this treatise because merely dwelling there is a Niḥsargika Pācittiya, and its result is included in any of the Pārājika or Saṃghādisesa, so it is not stated separately. Third, regarding the category of Niḥsargika Pācittiya, there are two aspects: teaching and explanation. The first is: Explaining the category of thirty Niḥsargika Pācittiyas. It means that for the things that cause downfall, it is necessary to make amends by means of abandonment. If it is not amended, one will fall into the lower realms due to the ripening of karma, so it is called Niḥsargika Pācittiya. Its definition is: Any transgression of the Vinaya of one who has taken full ordination, which can be amended by the name of Niḥsargika Pācittiya. Classification: categories of clothing, categories of mats, etc., categories of bowls, etc., each category has ten, totaling thirty Niḥsargika Pācittiyas. Second is the detailed explanation, divided into three sets of ten. The first is: Holding one's own extra robes for more than ten days; being separated from the monastic robe for one day; storing cloth material for one month; having a nun wash the monastic robe and taking cloth material from her; begging for cloth material from a non-relative householder; if given, taking excessive upper and lower garments; estimating the price of the monastic robe for oneself; begging by price and size, remembering the signs to beg; accepting jewels exchanged for the price of robes. As mentioned above, there are ten types. The first is the Niḥsargika Pācittiya of holding: holding, separating, and storing, these three were established in Nyen-yod for many nuns. That is, a person who has not spread a hard mat, for the extra robes over which he has autonomy, reaching the size of covering the edge of three circles, or if he has the three monastic robes that can be blessed, or even if he does not have the monastic robes.

If there is no hope of filling it, it reaches the size of a cubit. Whether it is blessed with one's own name or a pseudonym, or even if it is blessed but associated with imprints and consequences, whether by one's own power or the power of imprints, after ten days have passed, the first light of dawn rises on the eleventh day. Let alone extra clothes. If clothes are found within ten days in a land where one has autonomy and temporary dominion, if there are no previously blessed clothes, bless any of the thirteen necessities of life with one's own name. If there were previously blessed ones, then sincerely dedicate the later found one to others, or bless the remaining or needed utensils with a pseudonym. So, for generating abandonment, does the unblessed garment need to pass ten days by itself? No, it is not necessary. If the previous unblessed garment has passed any day from one to nine, and then a second garment is found, then on that day, the imprint of the previous day will be transferred to the latter, so whatever days the former has passed, the latter must also be counted as having passed. Because, if there are others here, even the imprint of the unblessed one is included. Because it is said so. Does mere blessing eliminate that fault? If both the former and latter are blessed, or if the former is blessed before the imprints are mixed, it can be eliminated. If the former is not blessed, then even if the latter is blessed, the power of the former's imprint will not eliminate its fault, this is in relation to what is associated with connection and consequences. So it is said. Even if the former is blessed, it does not produce an imprint on the latter, but this does not mean that the latter is blessed, because when the latter passes ten days, it generates downfall by its own power. In general, there are four types of imprints: the imprint of clothes, the imprint of bowls, the imprint of medicine, and the imprint of downfall. The first one has two types: the imprint of ten days and the imprint of retaining the month. These two generally cannot be used as strikers and those being struck, but in special cases there are four sentences: the clothes of retaining the month that were found earlier, later, by the power of finding all the Dharma clothes, transform into the clothes of ten days. If the latter garment is found on the same afternoon as the former, no imprint will be produced, and if it is found on later days, an imprint will also be produced.
