Because it is a place. For example, just as countless jewels and streams gather in the great ocean. This dharma possesses the qualities of the fruit, because it is the nature of possessing the indivisible qualities of the five clairvoyances, the uncontaminated wisdom, and the uncontaminated abandonment. For example, just as the light, warmth, and color of a lamp are indistinguishable. The sutra says: Shariputra, for example, a lamp is like this, light and warmth and color, or a jewel light and color and shape, etc., are indivisible dharmas, possessing inseparable qualities. Shariputra, similarly, the Dharmakaya taught by the Tathagata is like this, the Dharmakaya taught by the Tathagata, which exceeds the sands of the Ganges wind, is like this, with dharmas that are indivisible, possessing the qualities of inseparable wisdom. So it is said. Sixth, the meaning of entering through the distinction of individuals is: In the Ratnagotravibhāga, it says: Ordinary beings, noble ones, perfect Buddhas, The entry of the distinction of the Tathagatagarbha, Seeing that nature, for sentient beings, Shows the Tathagatagarbha. The meaning is, the Victorious One, the Tathagata, who directly sees that emptiness, you show this Tathagatagarbha to all sentient beings, because it is shown from the entry of the distinction of the Tathagatagarbha of the stages of ordinary beings, noble ones, and perfect Buddhas. Seventh, the meaning of merely being a stage is: It was said earlier: Impure, impure, pure, and extremely, Very pure in order four, Sentient beings, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas, Are thus declared in order. The meaning is, the Tathagatagarbha, although your nature is unchanging, you establish three stages of names depending on the sentient being of the basis, that is, depending on the three stages of impurity caused by adventitious defilements, impurity and purity, and extreme purity, and are successively called sentient ordinary beings, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagatas, perfect and complete Buddhas. Thus, the noble Asanga said in the commentary on the Ratnagotravibhāga: Understand the order of the three stages.

The teaching should be understood by explaining the three names like a mother. That is, in the impure state it is called the realm of sentient beings, and in the impure and pure state it is called the Tathagata. As the Blessed One said: Shariputra, that Dharmakaya, enveloped by countless billions of afflictive shells, carried by the continuum of samsara, revolving in the beginningless and endless cycle of samsara in deaths and births, is called the realm of sentient beings. Shariputra, that Dharmakaya, having become weary of the suffering of the continuum of samsara, free from attachment to all desires and objects, belonging to the category of the ten perfections, practicing with the eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma for the sake of enlightenment, is called a Bodhisattva. Shariputra, that Dharmakaya, completely liberated from all afflictive shells, having transcended all suffering, free from all proximate afflictive stains, pure, extremely pure, abiding in the nature of the most pure Dharma, abiding in the state to be beheld by all sentient beings, having obtained the power of a non-dual man over all objects of knowledge, possessing unobstructed Dharma, having obtained the unobstructed power of mastery over all Dharmas, is called the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha. Thus it is quoted and said. Eighth, the meaning of being all-pervasive like the sky is: In the Uttaratantra, it says: How the non-discriminating self-nature, like the sky pervades and follows, the nature of mind, the stainless realm, is likewise all-pervasive. The meaning of this is: the nature of mind, the clear and stainless realm, the essence of the Sugata, the Dharmata, has an example of being all-pervasive in the three states of ordinary beings, etc., just as the sky, which is non-discriminating and without obstruction, pervades and follows without distinction in all three forms of form, inferior, intermediate, and superior. Thus, the Uttaratantra also says: That common characteristic, faults and qualities, ultimately pervasive, the forms of form, inferior, intermediate, and supreme, like the sky. It is also taught like that, and its commentary.
