ཇི་ལྟར་བསྲུངས་པ་བཞིན་དུ་བདག་གིས་ཀྱང་བསྲུང་སྙམ་པས་རྗེས་ཟློས་གྱིས། སློབ་དཔོན་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ། ཇི་ལྟར་འཕགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་དེ་དག་གིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་སྲོག་གཅོད་པ་སྤངས་ཏེ་སྲོག་གཅོད་པ་ལས་སླར་ལོག་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ། བདག་མིང་འདི་ཞེས་བགྱི་བས་ཀྱང་། དུས་འདི་ནས་བཟུང་སྟེ་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་སྲོག་གཅོད་པ་སྤངས་ཏེ་སྲོག་གཅོད་པ་ལས་སླར་ལྡོག་པར་བགྱིའོ། །ཡན་ལག་དང་པོ་འདིས་བདག་འཕགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་དེ་དག་གི་བསླབ་པ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་སློབ་བོ། །རྗེས་སུ་སྒྲུབ་བོ། །རྗེས་སུ་བགྱིད་དོ། །གཞན་ཡང་ཇི་ལྟར་འཕགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་དེ་དག་གིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མ་བྱིན་པར་ལེན་པ་དང་། མི་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་། རྫུན་དུ་སྨྲ་བ་དང་། འབྲུའི་ཆང་དང་། བཅོས་པའི་ཆང་མྱོས་པར་འགྱུར་བ། བག་མེད་པའི་གནས་དང་། གླུ་གར་དང་། རོལ་མོའི་སྒྲ་དང་། ཕྲེང་བ་དང་། སྤོས་ཉུག་པ་དང་། རྒྱན་དང་། ཁ་དོག་འཆང་བ་དང་། ཁྲི་སྟན་མཐོན་པོ་དང་། ཁྲི་སྟན་ཆེན་པོ་དང་། དུས་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཁ་ཟས་དང་། གསེར་དངུལ་ལེན་པ་སྤངས་ཏེ། གསེར་དངུལ་ལེན་པ་ལས་སླར་ལོག་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ། བདག་མིང་འདི་ཞེས་བགྱི་བས་ཀྱང་། དུས་འདི་ནས་བཟུང་སྟེ་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མ་བྱིན་པར་ལེན་པ་དང་། མི་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་། རྫུན་དུ་སྨྲ་བ་དང་། འབྲུའི་ཆང་དང་། བཅོས་པའི་ཆང་མྱོས་པར་འགྱུར་བ། བག་མེད་པའི་གནས་དང་། གླུ་གར་དང་། རོལ་མོའི་སྒྲ་དང་། ཕྲེང་བ་དང་། སྤོས་ཉུག་པ་དང་། རྒྱན་དང་། ཁ་དོག་འཆང་བ་དང་། ཁྲི་སྟན་མཐོན་པོ་དང་། ཁྲི་སྟན་ཆེན་པོ་དང་། དུས་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཁ་ཟས་དང་། གསེར་དངུལ་ལེན་པ་སྤངས་ཏེ། གསེར་དངུལ་ལེན་པ་ལས་སླར་ལྡོག་པར་བགྱིའོ། །ཡན་ལག་བཅུ་པ་འདིས་བདག་འཕགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་དེ་དག་གིས་བསླབ་པ་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་སློབ་བོ། །རྗེས་སུ་སྒྲུབ་བོ། །རྗེས་སུ་བགྱིད་དོ། །ཞེས་ལན་གཅིག་གི་རྗེས་སུ་ཐབས་ལེགས་བྱའོ། །དེ་རྣམས་བསླབ་བྱ་བརྗོད་པ་ཡིན་པས་ཇི་ལྟར་ཁས་བླངས་པ་བཞིན་ལེགས་པར་སྲུངས་ཤིག ། དེ་ལྟར་དགེ་ཚུལ་དུ་གྱུར་ནས་ཁྱིམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་ཕྱག་བྱ་བའི་གནས་ཐོབ་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ས་གའི་ལྷས། དེ་ལྟར་དགེ་ཚུལ་བྱས་མ་ཐག །འདི་ལ་ཁྱིམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས། །ཕྱག་འཚལ་སྨོན་པར་འགྱུར་བ་སྟེ། །གང་ཕྱིར་ཁྱིམ་གྱི་འཆིང་གྲོལ་ཕྱིར། །ཞེས་གསུངས་པ་ལྟར་ཕན་ཡོན་ཆེན་པོ་མངའ་བས་དགའ་བ་སྒོམས། དེ་མཁན་པོའི་སྐུ་དྲིན་ཡིན་པས་གཏང་རག་གི་ཕྱག་གསུམ་འཚོལ་ལ་བཀའ་དྲིན

如同守护一般，我也要守护，这样想着进行随念。阿阇梨请垂听。如同诸位圣者阿罗汉，尽其一生断除杀生，从杀生中返回一样。我也以名为某某之名，从此时起直至尽其一生，断除杀生，从杀生中返回。以此第一支，我随学诸位圣者阿罗汉的学处，随顺修持，随顺奉行。另外，如同诸位圣者阿罗汉，尽其一生断除不与取、不行梵行、妄语、谷酒和调制之酒令人醉酒、放逸之处、歌舞和乐器的声音、花鬘和涂香、装饰和色彩、高床和**大床**、非时之食，断除受取金银，从受取金银中返回一样。我也以名为某某之名，从此时起直至尽其一生，断除不与取、不行梵行、妄语、谷酒和调制之酒令人醉酒、放逸之处、歌舞和乐器的声音、花鬘和涂香、装饰和色彩、高床和**大床**、非时之食，断除受取金银，从受取金银中返回。以此第十支，我随学诸位圣者阿罗汉的学处，随顺修持，随顺奉行。这样一次之后，善巧方便行事。这些是所应学习之事的讲述，因此如同承诺的那样好好守护。 如此成为沙弥之后，获得了所有在家众都应礼敬的地位。如《萨迦格言》所说：如此成为沙弥之后，所有在家众都会向他礼敬祈愿，因为他从家庭的束缚中解脱出来。如是所说，具有巨大的利益，因此修习欢喜。这是堪布的恩德，因此为了报答恩情而寻找三次顶礼的机会，并表达感谢。

Thinking, "Just as they have protected, so shall I protect," repeat after me. O Teacher, please listen. Just as those noble Arhats, for as long as they live, having abandoned killing, return from killing, so too, I, by the name of so-and-so, from this time forth until the end of my life, having abandoned killing, shall return from killing. With this first branch, I shall follow the training of those noble Arhats, I shall practice accordingly, I shall act accordingly. Furthermore, just as those noble Arhats, for as long as they live, having abandoned taking what is not given, not engaging in celibacy, lying, grain alcohol and artificially prepared intoxicating liquor, places of carelessness, singing and dancing and the sound of musical instruments, garlands and perfumes, ornaments and colors, high beds and large beds, untimely food, having abandoned taking gold and silver, return from taking gold and silver, so too, I, by the name of so-and-so, from this time forth until the end of my life, having abandoned taking what is not given, not engaging in celibacy, lying, grain alcohol and artificially prepared intoxicating liquor, places of carelessness, singing and dancing and the sound of musical instruments, garlands and perfumes, ornaments and colors, high beds and large beds, untimely food, having abandoned taking gold and silver, shall return from taking gold and silver. With this tenth branch, I shall follow the training of those noble Arhats, I shall practice accordingly, I shall act accordingly. After saying this once, act skillfully. These are the instructions on what should be learned, so protect them well as you have promised. Thus, having become a novice monk, one obtains the position of being revered by all laypeople. As the Sayings of Sakya state: "Thus, as soon as one becomes a novice monk, all laypeople will pay homage and make prayers to him, because he is liberated from the bonds of household life." As it is said, it possesses great benefits, therefore cultivate joy. This is the kindness of the Khenpo, therefore seek three opportunities to prostrate in gratitude and express thanks.
