Relying on this, the result of the union of samsara and nirvana in equality is the Dharmakaya; the result of the union of pure lands is the Rupakaya; and the result of the union of skillful means is the perfect accomplishment of activities. Thus, accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings is the practice of the stages of meditation in which union arises in the mindstream. The second part has two parts. The first part is the temporary stages of meditation: the aspects to be meditated on, the person who meditates, the object-possessing union, the preliminaries of the union, and the five factors conducive to liberation. The first is: "The distinctions of the base consciousness are called aspects, because the omniscient one has three aspects, therefore it is considered to be three aspects." Thus, there are five aspects to be meditated on: the entity, the nature, the divisions, the method of meditation, and the way it is explained in the sutras and treatises. The first is: all aspects of meaning and aspects of consciousness. The second is: the dharma that bodhisattvas meditate on as being without inherent existence. The third is divided into two: aspects of meaning and aspects of consciousness. The nature of the first is: what is the aspect to be meditated on? It is the object realized by the aspect of consciousness. The entity is: all dharmas. The divisions are: the three aspects of meaning of the three wisdoms. The nature of the second is: what is it? It is the awareness that grasps the aspect of meaning that has become its own object. The entity is: all consciousnesses. The divisions are: the aspects of consciousness that are unfavorable and the aspects of consciousness that are favorable. The nature of the first is: among the aspects of consciousness, what must be completely abandoned by a person seeking liberation? The entity is: the self-grasping of persons and the self-grasping of phenomena, and so on. The nature of the second is: what is it? It is what a person seeking liberation should rely on in their mindstream. The entity is: all paths to liberation. The divisions are: the aspects of consciousness of the base wisdom, the path wisdom, and the omniscient wisdom. The nature of the first is: the wisdom that directly realizes the nature of the four truths, which is the absence of self of persons. The divisions are: in the root text, "Starting from the aspect of non-existence, up to the aspect of immovability, each truth has four, and the path has fifteen." Thus, the truth of suffering, the truth of origin, and the truth of cessation each have four, and the truth of the path has fifteen. Among them, the four of the truth of suffering are: because there is no nature of permanence, it is the aspect of impermanence, and the aspect of non-arising.

Aspects, and. Because there is no nature of emptiness, it is the aspect of being devoid of self. Because of clinging to self, there is no herdsman, so it is the aspect of no-self, there are four. The four of the origin of suffering are: because it is not the basis for generating the aggregates of name and form, it is the aspect of not abiding. Because it is free from birth, cessation, coming, and going, it is the aspect of space. Because it is free from thought and discrimination, it is the aspect of being inexpressible in words. And, there is no cause for the occurrence of rebirth, no aggregates of name and base such as feeling, there are four aspects. The four of the cessation of suffering are: because it abides in the nature of ceasing all phenomena, it is the aspect of no going. Because it is peaceful from the beginning, there is no object to be taken away, so it is the aspect of not being taken away. Because it is the nature of Dharma, it is the aspect of being inexhaustible. Because it has not been established from the beginning and there is no birth or cessation, it is the aspect of no birth, there are four. If we analyze the aspects of the path, there are two types of paths: contaminated and uncontaminated, and one contaminated path, there are three in total. The first has four aspects, the second has five, and the third has six. The first is because it is the antidote to clinging to a doer, so the doer is not observed, therefore it is the aspect of no doer. Because the self is not observed, it is the aspect of no knower. Because it is the antidote to clinging to acceptance and rejection of good and bad, it is the aspect of death and transmigration in the manner of Dharma. Similarly, it is also the aspect of birth. Because the nature is emptiness, it is the aspect of no antidote to be subdued, there are four. The second is: the characteristic of no self-nature, like the appearance of a dream. The characteristic of not being born from a cause, like the echo of a sound, like the echo in a valley. The characteristic of not ceasing by nature, like an image or an eye disease. The characteristic of being peaceful from the beginning and having no object, like a mirage. The characteristic of being liberated from suffering by nature, like an illusion, there are five. The third is: the aspect of being free from all afflictions and the three poisons. Because there are no sentient beings who are the basis of afflictions, therefore it is the aspect of purity without being abandoned by them. Like space, it is not stained by the imprints of afflictions, therefore it is the aspect of being naturally luminous. The aspect of no elaboration that is focused on form and feeling, etc. And, there is no arrogance of tasting the flavor of one's own realization.
