The one named Six is the Dharma. The wise Bodhisattvas who abide on the path of seeing are truly marked as irreversible, because Bodhisattvas abiding on the path of seeing can make others believe in their irreversibility. The third (part) has eight (contents): the distinction of the path of meditation, the basis of the distinction, the classification, the non-contradiction of showing the innumerable, the function of the path of meditation, refuting the arguments about the result, the answer with examples, and showing the signs of the eight profoundnesses. The first (part): The path of meditation is shown by the profoundness, etc. The path of meditation of the Mahayana is the Dharma. It is profound, because it realizes the three doors of liberation through the profound emptiness, etc., and the signless and the wishless. Emptiness, etc., are the Dharma. It is profound, because it is the reality itself that is liberated from the extremes of superimposition and defamation. The second (part): It is shown by the decisive part and seeing, etc. The decisive part of the Mahayana, the path of seeing, and the path of meditation itself, repeatedly contemplate, measure, and decisively understand the meaning of seeing, and the Abhisamaya is the Dharma. It is the nature of the path of meditation of the Mahayana, because it is the opposite of its meaning. The third (part): It is shown by the fact that it is constant, etc. The path of meditation of the Mahayana is the Dharma. If classified, it is established as nine types, because you are constant, the root classification has small, medium, and large, and the branch classification has small of small, etc., from which the small of medium, the small of large, and the three categories of medium and the three categories of large are classified. The fourth (part): It is shown by showing the innumerable, etc. Each path of meditation shows that it generates innumerable merits, etc., which are not forbearance in the ultimate sense, because in the ultimate sense, there is no difference from expressing the nature of emptiness in the form of Abhisamaya. In the conventional sense, the innumerable merits, etc., as stated in the Sutras, are the Dharma. It is the result of the path of meditation, because the Tathagata, the Muni, who is the nature of great compassion without discrimination, approves of the result of the path of meditation meditating on the Dharmadhatu as the cause.

Overcoming difficulties, the answer. First, it is explained through "the inexpressible thing" and so on. The path called the Mahayana meditation is the subject. What diminishes among the opposing factors to be abandoned, and what qualities of purification are attained? It is not permissible for the abandonment to diminish and the antidote to increase. Because as a thing that is the nature of reality, you (referring to the path of meditation) cannot be spoken of as something to be abandoned or an antidote, nor can meditation be brought to perfection. Second, it is explained through "How is enlightenment like that?" and so on. This Mahayana meditation path is the subject. Although there is no increase or decrease in ultimate truth, in conventional truth, there is an example of achieving the desired meaning of abandoning, applying antidotes, diminishing, and increasing. For example, although there is no increase or decrease in ultimate truth in unsurpassed enlightenment, in conventional truth, just as it benefits sentient beings, it performs abandonment and antidotes. These two (enlightenment and the Mahayana meditation path) are the same in example and meaning. Because enlightenment has such a nature of thusness, the Mahayana meditation path is also considered to have the same nature. Sixth, it is explained through "The mind is the previous enlightenment" and so on. The bodhicitta of a Bodhisattva meditator is the subject. It should not be the cause of attaining enlightenment, which is what is desired to be manifested in conventional truth. Because the previous moment of you (referring to bodhicitta) cannot generate enlightenment, nor can the later moment generate it, and it is impossible for many previous and later moments to gather together. Seventh, it is explained through "In the manner of the lamp's example" and so on. In the manner symbolized by the example of a lamp's successive moments depending on each other to burn wood, it is said that the successive moments of the Mahayana meditation path depend on each other to attain unsurpassed enlightenment, which is necessary. Because it is necessary to know that the eight profound realities, together with their objects, are signs of irreversibility. Eighth, it is explained through "Arising and ceasing" and so on. The profound signs explained here are the subject. If classified, there are eight: profound arising, profound ceasing, profound suchness, profound knowable, profound knowing, profound conduct, profound non-duality, and profound skillful means. Third, the special meditation stages are three: samsara and nirvana are equal.
