Secondly, regarding the emptiness of the object-grasping consciousness by its own nature, it is because the dharma of the external object is empty by its own nature. This is its meaning. Second, regarding it, the definition is: the yoga of the union of calm abiding and insight that realizes the emptiness of the object-grasping consciousness by its own nature. The classification is: the two grounds of yoga, which are realizing the non-self-existence of consciousness in a general way, and realizing it directly. The boundary of the ground is: only in terms of attainment, it starts from the accumulation path of the Mahayana; mainly, it starts from the forbearance of the preparation path of the Mahayana. Third, the perfect abandonment of abandoning the grasping of the self of phenomena will be obtained. Fourth, regarding the ground of yoga of realizing freedom from elaboration, there are also three as before, of which the first is: the non-dual consciousness of the grasped and the grasper, the self-knowing and self-illuminating dharma, is not true, because it is interdependent. Second, there are three, of which the definition is: the yoga of the union of calm abiding and insight that realizes the emptiness of freedom from elaboration. The classification is: from the way of realizing emptiness, there are five as before. The boundary of the ground is: only in terms of attainment, it starts from the accumulation path of the Mahayana; mainly, it starts from the first ground. Third, the ultimate abandonment of abandoning the two obscurations together with their habitual tendencies will be obtained. Second, there is a reason for explaining the order of the four yoga grounds in this way, that is, first refuting the wrong views of the outsiders, and then combining them with the perfection of higher realms; establishing it on the view of realizing the selflessness of persons; establishing it on the view of realizing the selflessness of the grasped and the grasper; and then gradually establishing it on the view of being free from the eight extremes of elaboration. As it is said in the Garland of Jewels: Initially, it is the dharma of higher realms, later it will definitely be well-born, why is it that having obtained higher realms, gradually one obtains definitive goodness. Third, the four yoga grounds are established from the perspective of what is to be abandoned, that is, there are four seeds of what is to be abandoned: afflictions, the self-grasping of the grasped phenomena, the self-grasping of the grasper phenomena, and the four grounds are established in order because of the way of subduing these four. Fourth, regarding it, first, it is said in the scattered teachings: Here there is no self or sentient being, all these dharmas have causes. This is shown by this. The latter three are said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Relying on mind only.

In the place, there is no conceptualization of external objects. Relying on the correct object of focus, one even greatly transcends mere mind. Having transcended mere mind, one should abide in non-appearance. The yogi who abides in non-appearance, that one will see the Great Vehicle. Thus it is taught. The meaning of the words is: The path of seeing of the Great Vehicle, is the path of attaining the fourth ground, because it is the path of directly realizing emptiness free from elaboration. The third is: There is nothing to be eliminated here. In such a context, there are two. First, in Madhyamaka, there are three: definition, divisions, and the reasoning that establishes the view. The first is: The dharma that is free from the two extremes of permanence and annihilation. The second has three: ground Madhyamaka, path Madhyamaka, and fruit Madhyamaka. The definition of the first: That which serves as the basis for the path Madhyamaka to sever imputations. Example: All dharmas. The definition of the second: The wisdom in the continuum of a Madhyamika who realizes emptiness. That and the Madhyamaka view are the same in meaning. The divisions are: that which views the object to be realized, and that which views the path that realizes, two. The first is: Suchness as it is. The second is: Like the five paths of the Great Vehicle. The first, the Madhyamaka view, is an imputation, because it imputes the name of the object to the object. The latter is self-characterized. The definition of the third: The unsurpassed enlightenment attained through the power of cultivating the path Madhyamaka. Example: Like the four bodies of the Buddha. The third has two: for the sake of refuting the wrong conception of clinging to reality, there is consequence, and for the sake of generating the manifest cognition that realizes selflessness, there is the explanation of reasoning, two. The first has: four Madhyamaka consequences that refute the object of clinging of the wrong conception of clinging to reality imputed by the proponents of entities, namely: the consequence that generates the manifest cognition accepted by others. The equality of reasons being the same. Stating what contradicts others. The consequence of stating that the proof and the proven are the same and not established. The first is: the consequence of the proponent of entities taking their own commitment as the sign and thereby projecting an undesired consequence. For example: The sprout, the dharma, does not depend on the causes and conditions of arising, because it is established by its own nature. Like that. The second is: That which refutes the establishment of reality through equal reasoning.
