Sapas: The dharma to be proven, with the phrase "this definition," shows the establishment of pervasion here. Similarly, it should also be understood in the detailed explanation. Second, in the path of seeing, it is shown with the two words "Bodhisattva," etc. The detailed explanation of it is: "On the path of seeing, forbearance," etc., are all the explanations shown. Among them, "On the path of seeing, forbearance, and the sixteen moments of wisdom" etc. is the reason. "Bodhisattva" etc. is the subject. "Non-returning" etc. is the dharma to be proven. With the phrase "should be known as the definition," the establishment of pervasion is shown. Third, in the path of meditation, with the two words "Bodhisattva," etc. So, what is the nature of the path of meditation? How many categories are there? What is the sign of its mark? In order to explain the characteristic that the Mahayana path of meditation is deeper than the Hinayana path of meditation in terms of the way of realizing the object, it says: "The path of meditation is profound," etc. What explains the nature is: "The decisive part and the seeing" etc. What explains the definite number is: "That is because it is continuous" etc. For this, what explains the refutation is: "Countless" etc. The Mahayana path of meditation does not reduce what is to be abandoned, nor does it increase the antidote, because it is the emptiness of true reality. For the function in this situation, what explains the refutation is: "How is enlightenment, so is it" etc. The Mahayana mind of enlightenment cannot achieve unsurpassed enlightenment, because the Mahayana mind of enlightenment cannot obtain it even in each moment before and after, nor can it be obtained by many gathered together, nor can it be obtained by relying on each other. For the ultimate function, what explains the refutation in the way of example is: "Like the example of a lamp" etc. What directly explains the classification of the reason is: "Arising and" etc. Even if it is not directly mentioned in the root, the phrase "The wise one abides in the path of meditation, therefore it is the definition of non-returning" etc., supplements the dharma and the dharma to be proven, thus showing it. The meaning of the words is: The wise Bodhisattva who abides in the position of warmth is the irreversible Sangha, because he is the prince who abides in the decisive part, and it is impossible to enter the Hinayana path from the two aspects of thought and meditation.

Therefore, in the case of "having roots, etc.," there are two divisions. The first is: the object of attachment to be eliminated, how to eliminate attachment, and the explanation of the roots, etc., to be explained, there are three in total. The first is divided into: directly stating the sutra and explaining its meaning, two divisions. The first is: In the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra, it says, "Do not dwell on the combination and subsequent combination of quarrelsome speech, do not dwell on the combination and subsequent combination of towns, cities, settlements, regions, villages, and the surroundings of the king's palace, do not dwell on the combination and subsequent combination of my words, do not dwell on the subsequent combination of the words of ministers and great officials." The root verse says, "Having roots, etc., fighting, stinginess, etc., combination and subsequent combination, dwelling is separately prohibited." The sutra says, "Because what is grasped and what grasps should be abandoned, therefore, for the fighting of roots and dependent cities, etc., as before, the dwelling of combination and subsequent combination is subsequently prohibited." The second is: In the sutra, it says "fighting," etc., and in the treatise, it says "fighting," which indicates what is to be abandoned and the antidote. The word "town" indicates the root, the word "city" indicates the basis of the root, the word "settlement" indicates the object, the word "mine" indicates consciousness, and the words "minister" and "great official" indicate mind and mental factors. In summary, it is summarized into four: root, object, and consciousness. It merely generally shows the way to abandon these to-be-abandoned and antidotes. Because mind and mental factors are included in the category of consciousness. The second is divided into: what is to be abandoned, the antidote, and the result, three divisions. The first is: the four contaminated roots, etc., included in what is abandoned by the path of seeing. The second is: the subsequent acceptance of cessation, because this is the time to explain the subsequent knowledge of cessation. If you say so, there is no fault, because what is to be abandoned by the inherent nature of the subsequent knowledge of cessation is destroyed by the subsequent acceptance of cessation. The third is: obtaining the fruit of liberation from abandoning the four contaminated roots, etc., included in what is abandoned by the path of seeing. This is also divided into four from the perspective of what is to be abandoned, but there is no difference from the perspective of the essence, because it is the truth of cessation in the stage of subsequent knowledge of cessation.
