The realization of a person who has entered the path. It is the same as the part of liberation, with the same meaning. Secondly, it is called that because it is a path that is in accordance with Nirvana. Secondly, there are three parts of liberation: Hearer, Solitary Realizer, and Great Vehicle. The definition of the first: the realization of the Small Vehicle before the path of joining of the Hearer is born. Division: small, medium, and large. Taking the Solitary Realizer as an example. The definition of the third: the realization of a Great Vehicle practitioner who abides in his own lineage, possessed by the two special means of wisdom, before the path of joining of the Great Vehicle is born. Division: small, medium, and large. Third, in the commentary on the Treasury of Knowledge, it says: Whoever, after hearing words that speak of the faults of samsara, selflessness, and the qualities of Nirvana, feels goosebumps or sheds tears, should know that he has the root of virtue that corresponds to the part of liberation. Just as from the growth of seedlings in summer, one knows that there are seeds in the middle of the battlefield. Thus it is said. Fourth, there are two types: general explanation and cutting off doubts. The first is: the basis is having pure morality. Its branches are guarding the doors of the senses, knowing the measure of food, and the difference of the continuum being completely matured. The branches are diligent in the yoga of hearing and thinking about the twelve scriptures. The difference in nature is that it is possessed by the three roots of virtue of hearing, thinking, and meditating. The difference in function is that it has the qualities of quickly accomplishing the meaning of directly realizing the nature of reality. The second is: With sharp perfect enlightenment, it is easy to realize, and it is difficult for the dull to realize. The meaning of this sentence is that among the three paths of accumulation of the three vehicles, the path of accumulation of the Great Vehicle has two types: sharp and dull faculties. The first is easy to realize the unsurpassed enlightenment, because those with sharp faculties are difficult to turn back from the unsurpassed enlightenment. If that is the case, then non-retrogression cannot pervade, because there exists a common basis with uncertain types. Those with dull faculties, in comparison to those with sharp faculties, find it difficult to attain unsurpassed enlightenment, because it is temporarily possible to turn back from unsurpassed enlightenment. If that is the case, then retrogression cannot pervade, because there exists a common basis that is determined to be of the Great Vehicle lineage. Like this, those with strong faith and other sharp qualities can perfectly realize unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.
