The reasons for naming them with these names. How they engage with objects through affirmation or negation. The reason for categorizing them as unanswered. The reason for being included in the fourteen. The first point is: the view that the self and the world are permanent, the view that the world is without end, and the view that the Tathagata exists after death are the main views of the Samkhya school, because they admit that the self of the previous life exists here, and the self of this life exists in the next life. The view that things are impermanent, have an end, and do not arise are the main views of the Charvaka school, because they do not admit that this life arises based on the previous life, and the next life arises based on this life. The two not three are the main views of the naked ascetics, because they admit that all dharmas are permanent in nature but temporarily impermanent. The two not three are the views of the Sthavira school, because they admit an unspeakable self. The view that body and life are one is the view of the Vaisheshika school, because they consider life as the self and admit that it has form. The view that body and life are different is the view of the Samkhya school, because they admit that the self is conscious. The second point is: the view of the Samkhya school is called "moving" because the self of the previous life moves to this aggregate, and the self of this aggregate transfers to the next life. The view of the Charvaka school is called "gathering" because they believe that all happiness and suffering gather in this life. The view of the naked ascetics is called "scattering" because they believe that all dharmas are permanent in nature and temporarily impermanent, etc., like scattering. The view of the Sthavira school is called "collecting" because they believe that it is impossible to say whether the self and the aggregates are one or different, permanent or impermanent, etc. The third point is: the views of moving and scattering engage with objects in an affirmative way, because they are views of permanence that cling to objects. The views of gathering and collecting engage with objects in a negative way, because they are views of annihilation that slander objects. The fourth point is: there is a reason why the fourteen views mentioned here are called unanswered views, because the Tathagata did not answer the questions of the outsiders provoked by these views. That is the reason for not answering.

There is, these are questions arising from attachment to self, because it is considered that even if questioning about self is prohibited, it will not benefit those who are to be taught. The fifth reason is that the sixty-two views of the heretics can be summarized here, because the dharma to be questioned has two aspects: the nature of self and its characteristics. The first, from the perspective of dispelling doubts, there are two views based on body and life. The second, from the perspective of dispelling doubts about the beginning and end of all defiled dharmas, there are four views based on the beginning. From the perspective of dispelling doubts about its end, there are four views based on the end. From the perspective of dispelling doubts about the end of pure dharmas, there are four views based on nirvana. The reason for not questioning doubts about the current state is that it is considered easy to understand. The reason for not questioning doubts about the beginning of pure dharmas is that it is considered that it can be understood by dispelling doubts about the end of all defiled dharmas. The meaning of the words is that the Mahayana path of application, which understands the state of movement and aggregation, etc., is a phenomenon, and it is the characteristic of the knowledge of application that knows the basis, because it is the bodhisattva yoga that understands the state of the basis. The fifth is that in the case of "unconditional supreme giving," etc., there are two kinds. The first is the liberation part, which has three kinds: body support, mind support, and the nature of the liberation part. The first has two kinds of support: self-power and other-power. The first is that it actually arises in the support of humans in the three continents, as the Treasury says: "The three actions arising from hearing and thinking can lead to birth among humans." The second is that it actually arises in all other beings except the unconscious beings and the formless realm beings. The second is that it actually arises depending on focused intention and any of the six meditations. It does not actually depend on the mind of the formless realm, because these mainly have to arise from the power of the scriptures. The third has four kinds: nature, classification, cause of attainment, and difference in qualities. The first has two kinds: definition and etymology. The first is before the path of application of one's own Mahayana has arisen.
