Regarding the application (sbyor ba) explained in the context of "ba" etc., there are three types: application through the path of seeing, proximate application, and direct realization application. The first, the accumulation application (go sgrub), exists in the path of accumulation. The second, the entering application ('jug sgrub), exists in the path of preparation. The third, the collection application (tshogs sgrub), in the Worldly Supreme Dharma, has fifteen initial collections. The latter two are included in the paths of seeing and meditation. The application of definite emergence (nges 'byung sgrub pa) is in those three grounds. Thus, in the Great Commentary, it says, "Therein, the noble Asanga said that the armor and entering applications are transmitted one after another in order, and the collection of the nature of direct application and the ground of conduct through aspiration are included. The collection application, from love to dharani, is included in the nature of the path of direct application, the Worldly Supreme Dharma. The nature of the first ground, the Extremely Joyful, is the nature of the path of seeing, which is the collection application. The nature of the path of meditation, from the second ground onwards, is the nature of the opponent's side, which is also the collection application, thus it is the object of both paths. The application of definite emergence relies on the path of meditation." It is said. The meaning of the words is: Knowable phenomena, the boundaries of the four applications are definite, namely, the accumulation application is in the path of accumulation, the entering application is in the heat stage of the path of preparation, the collection application is in the last moment of the Worldly Supreme Dharma, and the application of definite emergence exists from the eighth ground to the peak of existence. Secondly, there are three things: the meaning derived from the accumulation application, the entering application, and the collection application. The first is, those individual giving etc. When saying "etc.", there are two. First, the subjective accumulation application and the first of the objective six perfections have been explained above. Secondly, there are five: nature, meaning of the word, definite number, order, and the result of practice. First, there are two: the way it is explained in the Ornament and the teacher's intention. The first is, the mind of giving with four characteristics, along with its concomitants, and gradually, the wisdom of discriminating Dharma with that characteristic, along with its concomitants. The four characteristics are, as it says in the Ornament, giving diminishes opposing factors, possesses non-conceptual wisdom, fulfills all desires, and ripens sentient beings in three ways.

This is indicated by that. Second, all six are placed solely in the state of Buddhahood. The phrase "whose characteristics gradually transcend the limits of samsara and nirvana" is added to the beginning of all six. Giving, relinquishing, a mind without anger together with its associated factors. Diligence that delights in virtue together with its associated factors. Samadhi that single-pointedly abides on the object together with its associated factors. Wisdom that thoroughly discriminates the Dharma together with its associated factors. Classification: Giving has four types: material giving, Dharma giving, fearlessness giving, and loving-kindness giving. Similarly, ethics has three types: gathering virtuous Dharmas, benefiting sentient beings, and abstaining from misconduct. Patience has three types: accepting suffering, not minding harm, and gaining certainty about the Dharma. Diligence has three types: armor-like diligence, applying diligence, and non-retreating diligence. Contemplation has three types: abiding happily in the present Dharma, accomplishing special qualities, and benefiting sentient beings. Wisdom has three types: hearing, thinking, and meditating. Second, the Ornament of Sutras says: "For abandoning poverty, for obtaining coolness and enduring anger, for supreme application and mindfulness, the wisdom of ultimate meaning is taught." Third, there are three types: depending on what is to be accomplished, depending on the two benefits, and depending on the definite number of the three trainings. First, in terms of accomplishing higher realms, it is the first three. In terms of accomplishing definite goodness, it is the latter two. In terms of both reaching completion, diligence is established. The Ornament of Sutras says: "Enjoyment and a fully complete body, and a fully complete retinue are higher realms. Always not going under the power of afflictions, and not being inverted in all activities." Second, the first three mainly accomplish the benefit of others, and the latter two mainly accomplish one's own benefit. Diligence makes both reach completion. The Ornament of Sutras says: "Diligently striving for the benefit of sentient beings is done through giving, non-harming, and patience. With the four of abiding and liberation, one practices all aspects of self-benefit." Third, the first three mainly accomplish ethics, contemplation accomplishes the mind, wisdom accomplishes the training of wisdom, and diligence is the helper of all three. The Ornament of Sutras says: "Taking the three trainings as the main focus,
