Like obtaining the divine ear, it is the result of relying on samadhi. Definition of the third supernormal cognition: What is the third supernormal cognition? It is relying on one's own main factor, which is the actual mind of dhyana, thereby being able to directly perceive the minds in the continuums of other beings, including afflictions such as desire, the samadhi that is associated with both samadhi and wisdom. Classification: merely knowing the minds of others, and having two classifications of supernormal cognition. The first is: like gods and nagas knowing the continuums of others, it is innate. Like knowing through the expressions of body and speech, it belongs to discrimination. Like knowing through reciting mantras, it belongs to mantras. Knowing by relying on the actual practice of dhyana is the result of relying on samadhi. The latter: is also the definition of having supernormal cognition. Definition of the fourth supernormal cognition: What is the fourth supernormal cognition? It is relying on one's own main factor, which is the actual mind of dhyana, thereby being able to directly remember many past lives of oneself and others, the samadhi that is associated with both samadhi and wisdom. Classification: like the gods of the desire and form realms, it is innate. Like some people now being able to remember their past lives, it is born from karma. Remembering by relying on the actual practice of dhyana is the result of relying on samadhi. Definition of the fifth supernormal cognition: What is the fifth supernormal cognition? It is relying on one's own uncommon main factor, which is the colored form of the eye faculty purified by dhyana, thereby being able to directly see the subtle and coarse forms of the world realm, the samadhi that is associated with both samadhi and wisdom. Classification: as said in the case of the divine ear. Moreover, these divine ear and divine eye supernormal cognitions have four characteristics. As stated in the Abhidharmakosha: "Divine eye and divine ear, born from the dhyana ground, are pure and clear, always possessing a basis, without incompleteness, objects of distant, subtle, etc. realms." Definition of the sixth supernormal cognition: What is the sixth supernormal cognition? It is relying on the main factor, which is the actual mind of dhyana, thereby being able to directly know the exhaustion of defilements, and the methods of exhausting defilements, the samadhi that is associated with both samadhi and wisdom. Classification: knowing the nature of the exhaustion of defilements, and two supernormal cognitions of knowing its methods. The first is: like the wisdom of a Shravaka Arhat who has obtained the actual practice of dhyana, it belongs to the obscuration of afflictions. Like omniscience, it belongs to the obscuration of knowledge. The second is: like the wisdom of a Shravaka learner Arya who has obtained the actual practice of dhyana, it belongs to the obscuration of afflictions, and the Mahayana learn
