That is, the patience of obtaining forbearance. It is said. In its commentary, the Twenty Thousand Verse Illuminating, it says: What is patience? It is the patience of knowing the Dharma in suffering. It is said. Third, there are three parts: First, the measure of fulfilling the aspiration is: the main purpose of the aspiration is to accomplish the benefit of others and to achieve the meaning of attaining perfect enlightenment. Second, the measure of maturing sentient beings is: from the perspective of actually being able to eliminate obstacles and actually being able to generate antidotes, obtaining the path of joining of one's own vehicle is a matured sentient being. When he obtains the path of seeing and meditating, maturity is liberated. When he obtains the path of no more learning, he abides in the path of ultimate liberation. Therefore, he obtains the ultimate ability to make the sentient beings who are to be tamed by his own body and speech actually able to eliminate obstacles and actually able to generate antidotes. Third, the measure of purifying the field is: by the power of completely accumulating the roots of virtue, which are the cause of accomplishing the perfection of the Buddha's field, in the Buddha's own appearance, the vessel and sentient world appear as a pure and joyful field. Fourth is: the nature of reality is suchness, which is the ultimate reality taught here, but the ultimate reality is not directly perceived. In explaining the meaning of the sutra that says, "The ultimate reality is not directly perceived," it says, "Having the support of not directly perceiving suchness." It says, "Although one is accustomed to suchness at all times, one does not directly perceive it, which is suchness." It says. The Madhyantavibhāga says: "Emptiness, in brief, is suchness and ultimate reality, signlessness and ultimate meaning, and the realm of phenomena are synonyms." It is said. Fifth is: the measure of constantly abiding in equality in the nature of reality suchness with the principle of equality of existence and peace is: "The mind is firm because it is one-pointed towards all phenomena." It is said. The meaning of the words is: the path of seeing of the Great Vehicle is the wisdom of the path, because it possesses the wisdom of being skilled in the generation and completion stages of the three vehicles, and the skillful means of not directly perceiving the ultimate reality without having done the three things of completion, maturation, and purification, which is the wisdom of the noble ones of the Great Vehicle. Second, the necessity of the connection is divided into three: the connection of the text, the examination of the difficult points of the connection, and the meaning of the words. The first is: When the Hearers seek peace, etc., offering to a special object

In short, if someone wonders, what is the necessity and ultimate necessity of composing a treatise with the eight topics and seventy subjects as its theme? This is to eliminate the four obstacles to entering the Ornament, namely, wrong views, delusions, manifestations, and transformations, and for the sake of the Ornament's disciples to enter the Ornament through the three practices of hearing, thinking, and meditating, this speech of necessary connection is spoken. To explain it a little, the Ornament for Clear Realization, has the property of not being something that realized scholars should enter, because it is a word without a subject. For example, like the speech of a madman. To eliminate this wrong view, in order to know that the eight topics and seventy subjects are the subject of the Ornament, therefore, the two lines "The path of all aspects of omniscience" are spoken with explanation. Again, this has the property of not being the former, because it is a word without necessity. For example, like a treatise on crow divination. To eliminate this wrong view, it is explained that the wisdom of easily realizing the eight topics and seventy subjects through hearing and thinking about the Ornament is the necessity of the Ornament. The explanation is: "Easily" etc., these two lines with explanation are spoken. This has the property of not being the former, because even if there is a temporary necessity, it is a word without ultimate necessity. For example, like a treatise on barbarians taking wives. To eliminate this wrong view, it is explained that the omniscience obtained through hearing, thinking, and meditating on the Ornament is the ultimate necessity of the Ornament. The explanation is: "Not experienced by others" etc., this one verse with explanation is spoken. This has the property of not being the former, because there is no connection between you and your ultimate necessity. For example, like the secret of obtaining the jewel on the head ornament of a jeweler. To eliminate this wrong view, the connection between the Ornament and the Ornament's ultimate necessity is that of method and what arises from method, which exists in the implication of the root text, and is explicitly explained in the commentary, which is shown by "speaking" etc. Moreover, there is a reason why the existence of the connection is not explicitly explained in the root text, because by explicitly showing the subject etc., the connection can be understood from the implication. The treatise and the meaning of the necessity, the basis of the connection, lies in the two, there it is shown.
