There are ten differences, because there are five views and five non-views. The first exists, namely the view of the aggregation of destruction, wrong view, extreme clinging view, view of holding views as supreme, and the view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. Thirdly, there are two ways of abandoning what is to be abandoned: actual and antidotal. The first has three types of what is to be abandoned, included in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. The first has two types: what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by meditation. The first is: Those ten and seven, seven, eight, except for the three and two views, suffering and so on in the desire realm, are gradually abandoned by seeing. This means that there are thirty-six latent tendencies in the desire realm, namely ten for the suffering truth to be abandoned by seeing, and for the origin and cessation truths, seven each excluding the three views of destructive view, extreme view, and holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. For the path truth to be abandoned by seeing, eight excluding the two views of destructive view and extreme view. There are four to be abandoned by meditation. Because in the desire realm there are those who abandon the suffering truth to be abandoned by seeing, and so on, the origin truth to be abandoned by seeing, because they are abandoned in order by the path of seeing. The second is: The four are to be abandoned by meditation. This means that desire, anger, pride, and ignorance are to be abandoned by the path of meditation, because they are abandoned after becoming familiar with them later. The second is: Except for anger, those very natures, the form realm. This means that there are thirty-one latent tendencies that operate in the form realm, because there are those very thirty-one except for anger. The third is: The formless is similar to that, thus it is asserted to be ninety-eight. This means that the formless realm is also similar to the form realm, with thirty-one. Therefore, there are ninety-eight latent tendencies, namely eighty-eight to be abandoned by seeing and ten to be abandoned by meditation. The second is: What is subdued by the forbearance born from the peak of existence, is to be abandoned by seeing. What is born from the remaining grounds, by both seeing and meditation, what is not subdued by forbearance is only abandoned by meditation. This means that the latent tendency to be abandoned born from the peak of existence, which is subdued by forbearance, is to be abandoned by seeing, because it is abandoned merely by directly seeing the truth. The latent tendencies born from the remaining grounds, by both seeing and meditation.

It should be eliminated. If relying on the path of seeing, it is eliminated by the path of seeing; if relying on the worldly path, it is eliminated by the path of meditation. Subtle afflictions cannot be subdued by patience; only the path of meditation can eliminate them, because they must be eliminated by the meditation that has realized the truth. Second, explaining the difference between views and pride, there are two parts: the explanation of views and the explanation of pride. First, there are two parts: the main text and the analysis of doubts. The first is: 'Regarding self and what belongs to self, holding to permanence and annihilation, and non-existence, considering the inferior as superior and the non-cause as the path, these are the five views.' This means that the nature of the five views exists. Holding to self and what belongs to self in relation to the aggregates of appropriation is the view of the perishable collection; grasping at either permanence or annihilation in relation to that is the extreme view; holding that there is no cause and effect of karma is the wrong view; considering the inferior as superior is the view of holding to views; holding that Ishvara (自在) and others are not the cause of the environment and beings, and that bad vows and asceticism are not the path, is the view of holding to vows and asceticism as supreme. These are the five views. The second is: 'Manifestly clinging to Ishvara and others as the cause, due to the perversion of permanence and self, because of extreme engagement, therefore, it should be abandoned by seeing suffering.' 'Perversion arises from three views, because perversion arises from the four aggregates, because of definite thought, because of augmentation, mind and consciousness are due to that power.' This means that clinging to Ishvara and the lord of beings as the cause of the world should be abandoned by seeing suffering, because it is established due to extreme engagement in the perverted view of permanence and self. There are four perversions of purity, happiness, permanence, and self, because perversion arises from the three: the view of the perishable collection, the extreme view, and the wrong view. There is a reason for establishing it in this way, because it is perverted, because it is a definite thought, and because it is established due to augmentation. The perversion of mind and the perversion of consciousness are not directly shown here, and there is a reason for this, because these two arise from the power of views, so they are not shown. Second, there are two parts: the classification of pride and the analysis of doubts. The first is: 'The seven prides are divided into nine and three.' This means the seven prides.
