The Rakshasa species that kill are harmful to sentient beings, roam in the sky, and are in accordance with the direction of the Yakshas. The malicious Naga race, transformed into half, has a body, enjoyment, suffering and happiness, and exists foolishly. Beings are also included in them. Below that, the main beings of the continents and subcontinents are humans. Therefore, the order is narrated: In the past, the first kalpa of humans originated from the clear light. In the commonly known Sutras, it is said that from the clear light of the gods, sentient beings with inferior merit came there, and humans originated from attachment to it. Some Tantras say that from Tushita Heaven, two sons of gods were born miraculously from lotuses, named the Son of God, Sunlight Illuminating and the Moon Without Stain. It is said that these two came to Jambudvipa and produced humans. These two are not contradictory, because when the clear light of the gods existed, the lands of this world were known by other names, called the Land of Tushita Accumulation, and they were called the Brahma caste. At that time, because there were no humans, there was no separation between gods and humans. In Jambudvipa, humans multiplied greatly, and after a long time, the light disappeared, and merit gradually decreased. In East Videha, after the previous gods, ordinary people were produced by miraculous birth. After that, the people of Northern Kuru also originated from the Thirty-three Heavens and existed. After that, the Western Godaniya Continent originated from the gods and multiplied greatly, and the people of each small continent also originated. Due to the accumulated karma of sentient beings, the beings of Jambudvipa could initially live for countless years, and then live for eighty thousand years. The height of adult men and women is thirty-two cubits. After that, twenty, sixteen, eight, from the age of one hundred, the height of four cubits began to decrease, and now at the age of fifty-four, the height starts from three and a half cubits, and eventually decreases to ten cubits. Life expectancy also decreased from the initial countless years to the final ten years. The people of East Videha are eight cubits tall and can live for two hundred and fifty years. The people of Godaniya are sixteen cubits tall.

At the time of death, a voice would come from the sky saying, "So-and-so will end their life in seven days," hence the term "unpleasant sound." Especially in this Jambudvipa, in the first kalpa, when the earth was one, when there were no beings, a small amount of merit from the gods of the clear light descended like a drop. After a long time, another god appeared, and the first one was very happy and called him "Moon." Then, many multiplied in the same way. They, too, like the gods of the form realm, had beautiful forms, were pleasing to the eye, had complete senses and limbs, were beautiful, had bright colors and light, could walk and dwell in the sky, and went wherever they wished by merely thinking. They enjoyed happiness as food, had no manifest afflictions, lived for immeasurable years, and only experienced happiness. This is called the first kalpa. At that time, there were no houses, dwellings, villages, or cities, so the earth was flat. There were no seasons divided by the order of the sun, moon, and stars, no years, months, days, and nights, and no divisions of moments, instants, and short periods. Because the doors of the senses were not open, there was no distinction between male and female. Therefore, among those beings, the name "sentient beings" was generally established. At that time, the gods and qualities were roughly the same, so there were no names for gods and humans.
