Therefore, for something that obstructs having it today, its unobtained state is maintained until now. This indicates that the unarisen, i.e., the future, also has an unobtained state, encompassing the three times of past, present, and future. For a dharma that can be obtained in the present, there are previously arisen and subsequently arisen unobtained states, but there is no presently arisen unobtained state, because it is obtained in its own time. For an obtainable dharma that belongs to any of the three realms, its unobtained state also belongs to any of the three realms, because the individual who is the basis, wherever they are born, belongs to that place. The unobtained state of the undefiled path truth also belongs to any of the three realms. The unobtained state of the path truth is not undefiled, because it is defiled and exists in the continuum of ordinary beings, because it is that which exists in the continuum of those who have not obtained the noble path. This is pervasive, because those who have not obtained the noble path are considered ordinary beings. Second, the way of abandoning is: through obtaining it, and through completely disappearing after transferring from a ground. That is, through what cause is the unobtained state abandoned? The unobtained state of realization is abandoned through obtaining that realization, and the unobtained state of a ground is abandoned through disappearing after transferring from that ground. For example, in the continuum of a practitioner on the accumulation path, there is the unobtained state of the preparation path, which is abandoned when the preparation path is obtained. Also, in the continuum of the first dhyana, there is the unobtained state of the second dhyana, which is abandoned when transferring to the second dhyana. So, in the continuum of a faithful person (devotee), is there an obtaining of obtaining that makes faith have? If there is, then it will become endless. If there is not, then the obtaining of faith becomes meaningless. If viewed from its own time, it will not become endless, but if viewed from the ultimate end, it will indeed become endless. That is, in the continuum of a faithful person, there are faith, and the obtaining that makes it have, and the obtaining of obtaining that makes it have, these three, and there is nothing else. In its second moment, these three dharmas become three obtainings that make it have, and three obtainings of obtaining, totaling six. In the third moment, there are the six of the second moment, plus the three of the first moment, totaling nine, and nine obtainings of obtaining, totaling eighteen. Similarly, by explaining by relating each subsequent moment to the previous moment, the ultimate end of obtaining becomes endless. As stated in the commentary: "What is unobtained and obtaining, etc., and with the subsequent obtaining, etc., it becomes eighteen." The second is: similar to sentient beings with shared karma.

It means that "commonality" refers to the similarity between sentient beings, and can also be said to be "of the same kind." Secondly, regarding the three, such as the non-ideation, there are three situations: The non-ideator, in the state of non-ideation, all consciousness and mental factors cease, which is the result of maturation, and its result is great. Similarly, the non-ideational attainment, hoping to arise in the fourth dhyana, is virtuous, and experiences the result from birth. Non-Aryas attain it at the same time. The so-called "cessation" is also the same principle. This is actually the meaning of being born in the peak of existence. It is virtuous, divided into two types of experiencing the result, and is attained through the practice of uncertain Aryas. It is attained by the enlightenment of the Able One. Initially, it is not a moment, but is attained by thirty-four moments. Both have a basis in the desire realm and the form realm. The initial cessation is among humans. It means that, for these three, the first is non-ideation: The person born in the non-ideational realm ceases all mind and mental factors there. This is the result of the maturation of non-ideational attainment, which is unspecified. Its place is where the result is great, existing in villages and monasteries. The second is non-ideational attainment: Just as the non-ideator ceases all mind and mental factors, the non-ideational attainment also ceases them. The reason is the hope to arise based on the highest and lowest of the fourth dhyana. The essence is virtuous. It is also hoped to experience the result from birth. The basis of the person is an ordinary being who is not an Arya. The time of attainment is only one, there is no before or after. The third is the cessation attainment, which, like the non-ideational attainment, ceases all mind and mental factors. This is for the sake of dwelling in the pacification of contaminated feeling and perception. The actual basis of the mind arises depending on the samadhi of the peak of existence, and is the contaminated one included in that realm. The essence is virtuous. From cultivating the cessation attainment, one is born in the peak of existence, and from experiencing the result from birth, as well as experiencing the result multiple times, is the karma of the peak of existence, but being born there is uncertain. The basis of the person is Attained with the practice of a Mahayana Arya. The Able One Buddha with the unsurpassed
