The establishment of. The main consciousness's retinue is mental events. Analysis. By the way, let's talk about some differences of mental events, there are three kinds. The first kind, the combination of definite correspondence and indefinite correspondence, two kinds. The first kind is divided into teaching and explanation. The first is: There are five kinds of mental events, because of the differences such as many grounds. It means that the mental events of definite correspondence have five ways of arising: those with many grounds of mind, those with grounds of great afflictions, those with grounds of non-virtue, those with grounds of small afflictions, five kinds of differences. The second kind is divided into: Among the above five kinds, the first kind is: feeling and mind, consciousness and, intention and contact, wisdom, mindfulness, attention and conviction, samadhi in all minds. It means that the ten kinds such as feeling are called those with many grounds of mind, because they act as the retinue of all main consciousnesses. The second kind is: faith and caution are extremely tamed, abandonment, shame, knowing shame, two roots and non-harming, diligence constantly generates good thoughts. It means that the ten kinds such as faith are called those with grounds of virtue, because they act as the retinue of all virtuous main consciousnesses. The third kind is: ignorance and carelessness, laziness, disbelief and lethargy, restlessness, constantly arise in those with afflictions. It means that the six kinds such as ignorance are called those with grounds of great afflictions, because they act as the retinue of all main consciousnesses of those with afflictions who have become objects of seeing-abandoning and practice-abandoning. The fourth kind is: the non-virtuous are shameless and, without shame. It means that these two are called those with grounds of non-virtue, because they act as the retinue of all non-virtuous main consciousnesses. The fifth kind is: anger and, holding grudges and cunning, jealousy, stinginess and, concealment and arrogance and harm, are those with grounds of small afflictions. It means that these ten are called those with grounds of small afflictions, because they act as the retinue of all main consciousnesses of those with afflictions who are only objects of mind-consciousness and practice-abandoning. The second kind is: desire, hatred, pride, doubt and four transformations Four kinds, a total of eight are called indefinite, because they are not definite in any of the above five kinds and are contrary to them. The second kind is divided into: following desire freely and, the upper realm

There are two aspects: First, it is divided into three aspects: virtuous, non-virtuous, and indeterminate. The first is: For the virtuous mind of the desire realm, because it has investigation and analysis, twenty-two mental events arise. In some cases, regret is added. That is to say, in the main virtuous mind of the desire realm, twenty-two mental events arise, namely, the ten all-pervasive mental factors, the ten virtuous mental factors, and the two of investigation and analysis. The second is: Non-virtue is divided into non-mixed and combined with views, each with twenty arising. Four afflictions and anger, etc., and regret together have twenty-one. That is to say, ignorance is divided into two types: unmixed ignorance and mixed ignorance. The first is not combined with any of the four afflictions such as desire. The second is combined with any of these four. In the main non-virtuous mind combined with the first, twenty mental events arise, namely, the ten all-pervasive mental factors, the six great affliction mental factors, and the two non-virtuous mental factors, as well as the two of investigation and analysis. In the main non-virtuous mind combined with views, these twenty mental events also arise. Here, views are not mentioned separately because they belong to the category of wisdom. Ignorance is not listed separately because it belongs to the category of delusion. Non-delusion is not listed as a virtuous mental factor because it belongs to the category of wisdom. Forgetfulness is not listed separately because it belongs to the category of memory that is not clear about its own object. Agitation is not listed separately because it belongs to the category of concentration that has afflictions. Non-discernment is not listed separately because it belongs to the category of wisdom. Mixed refers to the main non-virtuous mind combined with desire, in which twenty-one mental events arise, namely, the above twenty plus desire. By analogy, the three such as anger, and the ten such as anger, and regret. The third is the aspect of the indeterminate: For obscured indeterminate, there are eighteen, and for others, it is considered to be twelve. Sleep does not contradict everything, so it can be added in any case. That is to say, in the main mind of obscured indeterminate, eighteen mental events arise, namely, the ten all-pervasive mental factors and the six great affliction mental factors, as well as the two of investigation and analysis.
