Completed. Secondly, there are two types of meditation: meditating on impurity and meditating on mindfulness of breathing in and out. The first type has three aspects: that of a beginner, that of someone who has practiced a little, and that of complete attention. The first is: 'Bones extending to the ocean, Expanding and contracting is the first task.' This means that there is a method of meditation. When meditating on bones on one's forehead, one expands them to the ocean and then contracts them again. Therefore, the yogi meditates on his own body as a skeleton, and the yogi explains this as practice. The second is: 'From the foot bones to half the skull, Letting go is explained as practice.' This means that other than being similar to before, when contracting, one lets go from the foot bones to half the skull and meditates, thereby holding the mind. The third is: 'Holding the mind between the eyebrows, Is the completion of attention.' This means that it is similar to before, but meditating on a bone the size of a thumb between the two eyebrows is the reason for the completion of attention. Secondly, the characteristics are: 'Impurity, non-attachment, ten grounds, And object, desire appearance, created by humans.' This means that there is the nature of samadhi in meditating on impurity, because it is the nature of non-attachment. It relies on the ten grounds: the four dhyanas, the four close absorptions, the special dhyana, and reliance on desire. There is an object, because it enters the appearance of desire. There is a basis, because it is created by the people of the four continents. Secondly, meditating on mindfulness of breathing in and out has three aspects: that of the object, that of the method of meditation, and that of the special object. The first is: 'Mindfulness of breathing in and out, Wisdom, five grounds, object of practice, wind, Desire realm, basis, not of outsiders.' This means that there is the nature of mindfulness of breathing in and out, because it is born of wisdom. It relies on the five grounds, namely the first three close absorptions, the special dhyana, and reliance on desire. There is an object of practice, because it focuses on the wind. There is a basis, because it is born in the desire realm gods and humans. Outsiders do not meditate on this, because they do not have this instruction. The second is: 'Counting and so on, six aspects.'

The practice of mindfulness of arising and inhaling has special characteristics because it is done through six methods such as counting. These six are: counting and following, dwelling and. Observing and completely transforming, and completely purifying these six. Counting is: focusing the mind on the three states of exhaling, inhaling, and dwelling. Following is: focusing the mind on the length of time the breath dwells. Dwelling is: focusing the mind on the breath dwelling from the tip of the nose to the thumb. Approaching is: meditating by separately examining the four elements of wind and the five aggregates. Completely transforming is: meditating by focusing on the breath during the stage of the path of joining. Completely purifying is: entering the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. The third is: the inhalation and exhalation of breath, to which the body belongs. Not called sentient beings. The lower arises from a similar cause. Consciousness does not understand those two. It means: mindfulness of the inhalation and exhalation of breath, the body belongs to where it belongs, because it is part of the body. It has four characteristics: it is not called sentient, it is not perceived by the senses, it arises from a similar cause, it is the behavior of the lower, and the emanated consciousness does not understand the true nature of those two. The second is the practice of Vipassana, namely the four mindfulnesses, the four qualities such as warmth, and the practice of the sixteen aspects of the realization of the truths. The first is divided into a general explanation and a specific explanation of the Dharma mindfulness. The first is: a person who has attained Shamatha should practice Vipassana. One should practice the four mindfulnesses. For body, feeling, mind and dharmas, by completely examining their two characteristics of self and common characteristics. Wisdom arises from hearing and so on. The others are from connection and object. The order is like arising. The four are the antidotes to reversal. It means: a person who has attained Shamatha should practice Vipassana, because he should practice the four mindfulnesses. Moreover, the practice method has special characteristics, because for body, feeling, mind and dharmas, it is practiced by completely examining their two characteristics of self and common characteristics. There are three four mindfulnesses, because there are self-nature, connection and object. The first is: the wisdom arising from hearing, thinking and meditating.
