Future suffering is encompassed by suffering. Apart from that, all suffering associated with afflictions is encompassed by the suffering of conditioning. The second point is: If destroyed or removed by wisdom, then the mind does not cling to it. Like a water pot, it exists in a conventional way, but exists in a ultimate way elsewhere. That is to say, the water pot exists in a conventional way, because if anything is destroyed, the mind of self does not cling to it. The water in the pot exists, because if it is moved to another place, the mind does not cling to it there. Other forms and feelings etc. are also the same, because even if they are destroyed or broken, the mind of self does not abandon them. The third point is: Briefly explaining from the way of entering the path, and explaining in detail from the way of practicing the path. The first point is: Abiding in discipline, possessing hearing and thinking, one should diligently practice meditation. The wisdom arising from hearing etc. has name, both, and meaning as objects. That is to say, there are four special ways to enter the practice of truth: First, abiding in the discipline of renunciation; second, hearing many scriptures; third, thinking about its meaning with wisdom; fourth, one should diligently practice the meditation of uniting calm and insight. The wisdom arising from hearing and thinking and meditation has a special nature, because they are name, both name and meaning, and because they are objects aimed at meaning. The second point is: the person who practices the path and the actual way of practicing. The first point is: the nature of the person, including inconsistent aspects, and the qualities he possesses, and the way of classifying, there are three. The first point is: Having two extensions, not knowing contentment and having great desire, is not okay. Being attached to what is obtained, not being content; craving for what is not obtained, having great desire. That is to say, those who do not know contentment and have great desire are not suitable for practicing the path, because they have obstacles. There are obstacles, namely the distraction of the body and the non-virtuous thoughts in the mind. Therefore, it is necessary to stay away from these two obstacles. The nature of not knowing contentment and having great desire is: still being attached to things that have been obtained such as food and clothing is the former, and being unhappy with things that have not been obtained or have been obtained very little is the latter. The second point is like that.

The qualities of having are: The antidote to that is the antidote, those two belong to the three realms and are without defilement. This means that the antidote, contentment with few desires, is the antidote to the two mentioned earlier, because those two are the actual cause of abandonment. There are many of these two, contentment with few desires, because there are those that belong to the three realms and are without defilement. The third is: Among those non-attached noble lineages, three are the nature of contentment, three show the conduct, and the latter shows the activity, because it is the antidote to the arising of craving. For the sake of what is mine, self-grasping, and the desire for real things, for the sake of its temporary and permanent pacification. This means that there are four aspects of lineage: nature, classification, function, and numerical determination. The difference in nature is that it abides in a lineage that is not attached to anything. The classification is the lineage of the noble ones, because it is the basis for the arising of noble Dharma. Those who are content with just Dharma robes, alms, and simple bedding, and who delight in renunciation and meditation, are called noble lineages. Among them, the first three are the nature of contentment, because they are the antidote to non-contentment. There is a reason for showing four lineages, because the first three show the conduct of the noble ones, and the latter shows the activity of the noble ones. It is necessary to show four, because it is the antidote to the arising of craving for food, clothing, and so on. Thus, the first three noble lineages pacify the object of self-grasping, the moment one desires it, and the latter pacifies the self and self-grasping permanently.
