如果仅仅解释总是显现的确定性就足够了，为什么一定要在续部中强调指出需要观察过失的确定性呢？如果这样提问，产生这样的疑问是真实的。然而，这样做的必要性是这样的：从确立方面来说，即使在计算剩余时，也指出了自己宗派的续部历算年中，从二百二十一之间存在的过失。这是因为看到了调整一些细微之处的特殊必要性。从遮止方面来说，是为了隐瞒木鸟年年末的清净计算剩余，并设置其他计算，从而摧毁那些对历算过于执着的异教徒的傲慢。正如《大疏》中所说：“像这样，通过讲述的次第，讲述了续部之王至尊的最初佛陀所成就的究竟之特征。”《略续王》中，用“成就的究竟完全衰败”这句话概括，并没有在续部中明确说明。这是为什么呢？因为异教徒们看到了《略续王》，看到了太阳的清净受用，然后会问：“我们的行为中也有太阳的清净受用吗？”因此，因为这个原因，没有参照《广疏》来明确说明。如果外道们看到了《广疏》也会这样问，因为理由相同。如果这样提问，那么《广疏》中也没有结合各个计算剩余来说明应该如何指出过失，因为没有口诀，仅仅看到是不会明白的，所以无法提问。因为这里仅仅是提到了指出过失的来源。如何提到来源呢？仅仅是说因为确定性是不恒常的，所以必须在六十年末进行移动，以及说明了大多数计算剩余需要观察的征相，并且在年份移动时，指出了二百二十一个过失，为了让太阳等也能同样理解，引用了根本续部的宗派标志计算等，仅仅是设置了揭示隐藏内容的标题而已。不仅如此，为了避免在密咒续部中按照字面意思使用，解释中揭示的许多被遮止的隐藏内容，也同样适用于此，所以没有过失。

If it is sufficient to merely explain the certainty of always appearing, why is it necessary to emphasize in the tantra the certainty of needing to observe faults? If one asks this, it is true that such a doubt arises. However, the necessity for this is as follows: From the aspect of establishing, even when calculating the remainder, the faults that exist between two hundred and twenty-one in the calculation year of one's own tradition's tantra are pointed out. This is because one sees the special necessity of adjusting some subtle points. From the aspect of refuting, it is to conceal the pure calculation remainder of the end of the Wood Bird year and to set up other calculations, thereby destroying the arrogance of those heretics who are overly attached to calculations. As the "Great Commentary" says: "In this way, through the order of speaking, the characteristics of the ultimate accomplishment achieved from the first Buddha, the supreme king of tantras, are explained." In the "Condensed King of Tantras," it is summarized by the phrase "the ultimate accomplishment is completely decayed," and it is not clearly explained in the tantra. Why is this? Because the heretics see the "Condensed King of Tantras," see the pure enjoyment of the sun, and then ask, "Do we also have the pure enjoyment of the sun in our actions?" Therefore, for this reason, it was not clearly explained by referring to the "Extensive Commentary." If the outsiders see the "Extensive Commentary," they will also ask this, because the reason is the same. If one asks this, then the "Extensive Commentary" also does not explain how to point out faults by combining each calculation remainder, because without oral instructions, one will not understand by merely seeing it, so one cannot ask. Because here, only the source of pointing out faults is mentioned. How is the source mentioned? It is merely said that because certainty is impermanent, it must be moved at the end of sixty years, and the signs that most calculation remainders need to be observed are explained, and when the year is moved, two hundred and twenty-one faults are pointed out. In order for the sun and others to understand similarly, the calculation of the sectarian marks of the root tantra is cited, etc., and only the title of revealing the hidden content is set up. Moreover, in order to avoid using the literal meaning in the mantra tantras, many hidden contents that are refuted and revealed in the explanations are also applicable to this, so there is no fault.
