In the 《འ་འགྲོ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་》, it says: The constellations such as aquatic animals should be considered as twelve. First is the ignorance aquatic animal, as well as Rohita, etc. Second is the Rohita vase, the action is to be known. And so on. So, is it contradictory to the old practice of associating the actions with the aquatic animal palace in the middle winter Jia month (Tibetan calendar November), and the consciousness with the late winter (Tibetan calendar December), and the name and form with the early spring (Tibetan calendar January), and the six places with the middle spring (Tibetan calendar February)? It is indeed so. The previous practice is not only the practice of the Phukpa oral instruction school, but also most of the calculators nowadays prefer this method. However, without being swayed by the number of people, if you examine it carefully, both the rough calculation by month and the subtle calculation of dependent origination by day below seem to be inconsistent with the direct revelation of the tantras. However, I myself am neutral about the merits of this method, and I am only expressing my own views here. In the future, whether this method is the hidden meaning of the tantras or is mentioned in other sutras, please let the wise people judge. Third is the term for Mongolian months. That is, in the land of China, there were various dynasties such as Qi, Qin Shihuang, Han, Cao Wei, Wu, Later Jin, Qing Song, Sui Yangdi, Tang, Later Liang, Liao, Western Xia, Yuan, Ming, and Manchuria. The Chinese calendar makers used the late spring (March) Dragon Month as the beginning of the year. This is because when the Western Xia was replaced by Genghis Khan of the Yuan Dynasty, a celebration was held, and the New Year was set as the month when Genghis Khan won the victory. Therefore, Genghis Khan called this month the "Month of Victory," and the Mongolian emperors arbitrarily changed the beginning of the calendar. In Tibet, it seems that the Mongolian calendar was adopted from the time when the Sakya sect issued decrees. Therefore, if we calculate by taking the first month of the Mongolian calendar as the beginning of the year, then this month is called "March" in Chinese, and in Tibetan, it is the third month of the Mongolian calendar. Fourth, calling the third month of the Mongolian calendar the middle spring is to be consistent with the Tibetan terminology. Because there are no corresponding words for early, middle, and late in Chinese classics. Therefore, in the Chinese classics of Vajra Dakini, there is a corresponding word for the king for "པཽ་ཥྱ་" (Sanskrit Devanagari: पौष्य, Sanskrit Romanization: pauṣya, Chinese literal meaning: 波沙), but some translators translate it as early spring.
