Therefore. (It says in 'Dodjo, Wish-Fulfilling Jewel): "As the teacher of gods and asuras, the son of the poet (Ushanas) is named Pasang." So it says. Kuwa is a variant of "Shukra," meaning white. (It says in 'Dodjo, Wish-Fulfilling Jewel): "Shukra is white, because it is without sorrow and all good." Also, (it says in the 'Jamdpal Tsagyud, Manjushri Root Tantra): "White, moon, Pawasang." Nabso Kye (born in Nabso) is because it was born there. "Poet" is named after the father. Pawasang seems to be Isvara, and the Sanskrit word is Shukra, which corresponds to white. These are the names of Pasang. Saturn is called "Slow Goer" because it takes about thirty years for it to orbit the constellations once, making it the slowest of the planets. "Sun-born" and "Son of the Sun" are because the father is the sun. (It says in Hamsa): "Auspicious Saturn is the son of the sun, truly born from the womb of shadow and the land of Dravida, of the Yama lineage." "Peaceful Goer" and "Banner of Yama" appear in the pearl rosary, but the reason is not seen. Saturn is a variant, and the Chinese text is "शनैश्चर(藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)," which is the same meaning as "Slow Goer." These are the synonyms of the name Saturn. Among the names of Rahu, "Terrifier of the Three Realms" is because when this is seen, the gods are frightened and terrified. The Great God said: "The constellations, for a long time, faint upon seeing Rahu. If it sits in front, even the sun and moon are destroyed like ashes." "Eater of the Sun and Moon" is because it obscures them. Some sutras say that when this one swallows the moon, Brahma strikes it with a wheel, and it comes out because the throat is broken. "Victor of the Three Realms" is because with true reasoning, it can seize the power of all the planets and stars. "Collyrium-Colored" is because there is obscuring darkness on the face. By its own nature, it has a fierce form. These also come from the tantras: "Whoever eats the sun and moon, terrifies the three realms, has a fierce form, and is collyrium-colored." "Eater of Ambrosia," (it says in Hamsa): "Auspicious Rahu is the son of Simhika, who delights in ambrosia." "Black-born" is because the face was born there. Rahu is famous in the three realms, and the face has the appearance of a wild beast.

In some sutras, it is also translated as a jackal. The reason for calling the comet by names such as fire and time-fire is that it is born together with the face in the sky and appears in the form of fire. Ketu, which is translated as long-tailed, as well as smoke, tail, and the one with a cubit's length, is because the tail of the star appears in the form of smoke, about a cubit long. Pandit Hamsa said, "Riding perfectly on the chariot of smoke." These are the names of the long-tailed stars. Regarding the differences in the lineage, form, etc., of these planets, the Vajra Dakini Tantra says: "The teacher of the gods is the Sun, and Mars is male in form. Mercury, Rahu, and the Moon are female in form. Saturn and Jupiter are shown to be neuter. The planets that reside in the wheel of space, are in union with all the Dakinis. Vajra Dakini is the supreme bliss, thus spoke Vajrasattva Tathagata, spoken by the Bhagavan Vajradhara." Similarly, in the "Melodious Sound" it is also said: "The Sun, Mars, Jupiter, etc., are shown to be male planets." and so on. Jupiter and Mercury are shown to be of the Brahmin caste. The Sun and Mars are universally known as the Kshatriya caste. The Moon is called the royal lineage, and Saturn is said to be of the commoner caste. The father is a Brahmin, the mother is a commoner, and their son is called Saturn. The one known as Rahu, should be known as the Chandal caste. The Sun and the Moon are universally known as the planets of kings. Jupiter and Mercury are the planets of ministers, Mars is the commander of the army and the master. Saturn is called the son of the king, and the planet of servants is known as Saturn. This is how it is proclaimed. Sixth, after the planets, next, the names of the stars are explained. In general, just the classification of the stars, because the sages are fond of the stars, it is said that the number of stars that pervade these four continents is two hundred eighty-five million. The stars with names are also mentioned in the Manjushri Root Tantra: "These great planets are also accompanied by thousands of stars, like this: from Krittika to Dhanishta, as well as like goddesses, Hasta, Purna-od, Adra, Rohini, Near Phrae, Gre-lden, World Supreme, Supreme
