Then multiply the thirty-two parts including half, that is, by two tithi excesses. By dividing sequentially by arrows and tastes, that difference will occur. Here, it is not convenient to divide by thirty-two including half, so making it half, etc., is as explained in the case of lunar purification. The second method is that by dividing the solar day cycle by the zodiacal day cycle, the pure zodiacal excess will arise. That reasoning is also reasonable, because from the solar day cycle, where sixty hours are made into a day's time excess, accumulated for a year, the aggregate of the zodiacal days of a year will definitely obtain its share. If one seeks the measure of a lunar day from that, dividing the interval of the zodiacal excess mountain-sky-mountain into two places, multiplying the lower one by the eye, and subtracting the wealth divided by the mountain-taste from the upper place, the remainder will become the aggregate of the parts of the lunar day. Starting from the parts previously broken down, by adding in a cycle, the measure of the lunar day will arise. There is a knower of how it arises like that, the difference between the two days. One hour. Forty-nine strands. One breath. Two desire parts. Five hundred seventy-two mountain-sky-mountain parts. Or, if one divides that zodiacal excess by seventy-seven, multiplies the wealth by two, or divides the doubled zodiacal excess by the mountain-taste, even then that difference will occur. Again, if one seeks the measure of a solar day from that, placing a prayer in four places between the lunar excess parts, and mixing the wealth obtained by adding the arising desire force, the taste-hole-taste, and the fire-taste from below to the top, that aggregate will become the aggregate of the parts of the solar day. By adding the mountain-sky-mountain and desires, etc., in the place of the hour, all the lower places will be emptied, and sixty hours will come, and the measure of the solar day will be pure. The reason for that method being reasonable is this: in the difference between the two days, there are fifty-six strands. One breath. Twelve desire parts. Four hundred ninety-nine mountain-sky-mountain parts. That is one twenty-third of a lunar day, and that taste-hole-taste part, and that arising desire force part, mixed in the same place, and by adding the taste-hole-taste, the fire-taste, and the mountain-sky-mountain, etc., in a cycle, that difference will occur. Even so.

This reasoning sought through the retrograde method of neighboring constellations, and the constellations sought through the progressive method above, although the forms of the two partial charts are different, their meanings are the same. Because if the upper and lower parts of the house constellation are gathered in one position, it is like the appearance of a sea eye shape. From this it can be symbolized that, no matter what the basis, one must know how to suddenly gather the initially existing position, and the principle of suddenly creating what does not exist, both above and below must be understood. The first of these is: multiply the upper number by its lower number, and add its own share. If there is no remainder after dividing by the upper number, it means that it has been gathered into its own position. For example, if you want to eliminate the breath between the water leak and the mountain-sky-mountain division in the waxing and waning of the constellations, multiply the four breaths by mountain-sky-mountain, and add sixteen. Divide it by the six wheels of breath, and the resulting number is water-mountain-sea, which is the mountain-sky-mountain division of one water leak. The second is: multiply the lower number by the number of wheels of the share you want to create, and divide it by the number of wheels of the lower number, the resulting number is the share of the number of wheels suddenly created, and the remainder is the self-share of the lower position of that share. For example, between the breath and the mountain-sky-mountain in the waxing and waning of the constellations, if you suddenly take out the desired share, multiply sixteen by the desired number, and remove it with mountain-sky-mountain, the resulting point is the desired share, and the remaining dragon-sky-eye is its mountain-sky-mountain division. Similarly, if the lower share is eliminated, and you want to suddenly take out any share from the upper position, multiply the upper position by the number of wheels you want to take out. If you remove the lower wheel number with it, and there is no remainder, then the resulting number is the number removed by the lower position. If it cannot be completely divided, mix it with the number existing in the lower position, and then remove it with the wheel number of its own position, so that the share of the resulting number can suddenly appear, and the lower position can be gathered. For example, in the progressive part of the upper constellation, dividing the arrow by desire yields five, which is five parts or one-thirteenth of the arrow. Divide it by fifty parts of the arrow, and get ten, which is one hundred and eight multiplied by desire, and temporarily becomes a pile of desire after giving, and then use the lower wheel
