Encouraging myself to do my best, and clarifying the goals of where the offerings and donations from both exile and homeland go, I gave with a pure heart, avoiding the great fault of becoming indebted due to my own laziness. Having done so, from around the Wood Dog year (1934), incidental necessities also accumulated effortlessly. If this is not the deception of the son of the gods, but rather arises from the blessings of the Three Jewels, then it seems fulfilling. How to Accomplish a Small Portion of Benefit for Others Combined with One's Own Abilities Fifth, how to accomplish a small portion of benefit for others combined with one's own abilities is: Wishing that the general teachings, and in particular the Nyingma Vajrayana, and especially the teaching and practice of Je Tertön Chen Lama, would spread and flourish in all directions from all doors, I carried this noble altruistic spirit on my shoulders, and did my best to engage in teaching and listening. First, I explained the grammar introduction called "Kalapa" to the monk Tarpa Lingpa, and later to Geshe Chakpa Chöpel and the monk Orgyen Paljor. Later, I presented the complete introduction and the explanations of poetry and prosody to Zhabdrung Rinpoche, from which they spread even more widely. I also explained the Sarasvati grammar about five times in the presence of Zhabdrung Kunchen and others. Although I did not personally study the calculation introduction, I opened up their minds through immediate discussions and debates on previous knowledge, and benefited them through this way, thus establishing some altruistic connections in the field of terminology and culture. Most importantly, because I took on the responsibility of Khenpo, the number of novices I ordained reached four hundred and forty-seven monks and one thousand four hundred and ninety-eight novices. Starting from the Iron Dragon year (1940), at the winter and summer Dharma assemblies of the monastic community, Zhabdrung Kunchen and many local lamas, as well as about sixty motivated monks from the monastic community gathered together, and I continuously explained the "Heart Essence Tantra," enabling the new monks to generate wisdom from hearing. In addition, I also sporadically explained many scriptures such as the "Three Vows," the "Ornament of Clear Realization," and the "Vinaya Sutra," according to each individual's capacity.
