Whatever effort is made to pacify endless obstacles, starting from this very moment without distraction, perform the rituals as they become clear later on. The root of learning is the Abhidharmakosha itself, as well as the Root Tantra of Illusion and the Guhyagarbha Tantra. By making them the root texts, and also striving diligently for other knowledge, one will attain the state of a scholar. Through that, the teaching and practice of the Early Translation School, the great chariot of wisdom that constantly dawns in the sky of boundless benefit and happiness, there is no hope other than you, so do not hesitate. In the rituals, offer to the Three Jewels, perform confession and supplication, offer prayers and offerings to the Dharma protectors, and accumulate a hundred thousand recitations of Guru Rinpoche's "Prayer for Spontaneous Fulfillment of Wishes." Through this, all wishes will be fulfilled auspiciously. The rituals given in this way were performed on the auspicious day of the fifteenth, with offerings of tea and food to the monastic community. I myself also observed a strict retreat for two weeks, accumulating merit. Afterwards, in the presence of the great treasure revealer Chögyal (Dharmaraja), I requested teachings on the commentary on the Essence and the combined Yung Commentary. In order to memorize the Yung Commentary, I set aside other tasks. Most importantly, I contemplated with mindful intelligence and examined it carefully. Although my own wisdom was shallow and my intellect dull, through the transference of the blessings of the holy lama and the words of good explanation, the knots of unknowing in my own mind were untied, and before long, I gained an understanding of all the explicit and hidden meanings of the tantra, like the Itihasa. As for the explanation of the Abhidharmakosha, although I had listened once to the hundred commentaries from Sangye Chödar, who spoke on various systems, because it was not very popular in the monastic colleges that read the Kosa, there were few who spoke eloquently about it, so I did not gain a deep impression in my mind through the root text, but only planted some seeds. Similarly, at various times, I listened to explanations of the Vinaya and Prajnaparamita from the Treasury of Reasoning and the Ocean, and through contemplation and analysis, I made some initial progress in the direction of understanding. Before that, I had listened to the Madhyamaka emptiness lectures and the explanation of the Three Hundred Verses on Discipline from Gungtang Panchen. From the wise Chökyong Gyaltsen, I heard the explanation of the profound inner meaning from the self-commentary. Especially Je Lama

In the presence of ..., although I did not listen to the teachings of Omniscient Longchen Rabjam, Zurpa Yabse, Rongzom Chenpo, and others one by one in sessions, I did ask detailed questions about difficult points. I also constantly recorded their natural sayings as instructions. Because I heard many relevant discourses, my mind stream was liberated. No matter what I heard or contemplated, I never deviated from the right path and was able to integrate it into my mind. I received such kindness. Now, I will explain how I received the teachings and commentaries of the Buddhas, as well as the instructions that guide the path to maturation and liberation. Primarily, I relied on the lotus feet of the incomparable Guru Lama Dampa Tertön Chenpo Chökyi Gyalpo, always placing them on my head and receiving them well. These include: the early translations of the Kama teachings, the three sections of Sutra, Illusion, and Mind. Within the Mind section, there are also the three categories of Mind, Space, and Instructions. Related to these are the empowerments, instructions, and transmissions of the Tantra sections such as Dongtruk. The Kagyu lineages of oral instructions, like all existing lineages, have many different transmission methods. In the practice section, there are also common and special instructions, such as the various sections of Vajrakilaya and Yamantaka, each with internal differences. In the Terma teachings, there are all the new Terma teachings of the Guru himself. There are also the Terma teachings of many famous Tertöns such as Drubthob Ngödrup, Langma, Lhetsün, Zhang Trom, Nubchung, Nyang, Chöwang, Lésel Tsal, the Twelve Lingpas, the Three Drimés, and the early and later Jangter, including the Guru, Dzogchen, and Thuk three categories. The common and special Dharma categories of the Kagyu lineage are infinite. Represented by the seal of the Omniscient Fifth, there are the profound Pure Vision Dharma categories, and many empowerments and transmissions of the early translation Secret Mantra Nyingma tradition, as well as various oral instructions. The root of all these is the complete transmission of the Nyingma Gyübum of one hundred thousand tantras. In the new tradition, there are also many empowerments and subsequent permissions of Hevajra, Kunjik, Akshobhya, and others. There are also many Dharma categories such as the complete empowerment transmission instructions represented by Naropa's Khechara. In the Sutra section, there are also the generation of bodhicitta instructions of the two traditions, as well as the transmission of the Bodhisattva Bhumi, and so on. There are also the common Sutra and Tantra teachings. The treatises and instructions of the Omniscient Longchenpa, and other Tibetan and Chinese treatises and instructions.
