During the main part of the month, he remained steadfast in his samadhi. In between sessions, he bestowed Dharma teachings upon a small gathering of monks, and for the purpose of offering to the supreme guru, he allocated land for cultivation to the Daling Monastery, and personally managed affairs related to activities, and then returned to the monastery. Again, starting from the end of the ninth month of the Earth Rat year (1948), until the middle of the twelfth month of the Ox year (1949), except for briefly meeting one or two important figures through a door due to smallpox avoidance, he remained in retreat for over a year. During this time, he primarily remained in the state of Great Perfection, self-appearing non-duality. During meals, after the Dharma assembly, he bestowed numerous profound Dharma teachings, such as the teachings of the Great Perfection Mind Series, to a small group of close attendants including the Shabdrung lineage Rinpoche brothers and his younger brother Jowo, without interruption. Sometimes, combining it with visualization and other practices, he recited the sadhanas of numerous deities, and according to the activity being praised, he changed the corresponding mantras and visualizations. In that year, many people in all regions were facing death due to smallpox, and he accepted the objects of refuge requested for help as stupas, and reported the newly copied names one by one, and dedicated the merit, and sometimes combined them for purification through fire pujas, etc. He watched all these objectives with compassionate eyes and protected them. Thereafter, except for occasionally walking around during the year-end Dharma assembly, he did not meet with anyone else, high or low, and remained in a state of internal and external isolation. From the seventh to the fifteenth of the Black Month (Tibetan eleventh month) of the Iron Tiger year (1950), he, along with his father, three sons, the incarnation Genpan Wangpo, the incarnation Tangdro, and about ten attendants, relied on the Great Perfection Samantabhadra Guhyasamaja mandala within the retreat room, and according to the elaborate practice of the Tsok offering ritual, with four sessions of uninterrupted mantra recitation, made it extremely perfect, thereby increasing the medicine, and improving the smell, taste, and color. The practice room was filled with splendor, and on the day of obtaining accomplishment, light rain fell from the rainbow clouds.

圆满次第气脉明点的运行在Dhūti(དྷཱུ་ཏི,梵文天城体:धूत,梵文罗马拟音:dhūta,意为抖擞)中清净,使融乐智慧在四面八方燃烧。

The signs of accomplishment in practice were auspicious, and its blessings caused the skin diseases in the vicinity to disappear like water drying up. On the occasion of the tenth-day offering of the waxing month (the first month after the Tibetan New Year), the retreat was concluded. As mentioned earlier, in the secluded and wondrous great sacred sites of Drakmar Chimpu (བྲག་དམར་མཆིམས་ཕུ་, meaning Red Rock Chimpu) and Yamalung (གཡའ་མ་ལུང་), as well as Daling Retreat House Samadhi Cave, Retreat Hut Light Peak, Samadhi Peak, Trashi Choling (བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཆོས་གླིང་) in Lhodrak (ལྷོ་བྲག་), the Retreat House Kunsang Yangtse Dobu (ཀུན་བཟང་ཡང་རྩེ་མདོ་སྦུབས་) of the Mindrolling Monastery (སྨིན་གྲོལ་གླིང་) Main Temple, the Immortal Light Cave, the Retreat House Kunsang Phodrang Dobu (ཀུན་བཟང་ཕོ་བྲང་མདོ་སྦུབས་) of Ladrang Chokhor Lhunpo (བླ་བྲང་ཆོས་འཁོར་ལྷུན་པོ་), and other places, long-term retreats, six-month, three-month, one-month, and even shorter retreats were undertaken. Practices included the recitation and accomplishment of peaceful, increasing, powerful, and wrathful gurus, Vajrasattva, the Eight Herukas of Kagyé, Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara, Yangpur, Yamantaka, Hayagriva, Amitayus, Khechara, Vajrapani, Locana (ལོཀྟྲི, Devanagari: लोचन, Romanization: locana, meaning Eye), Nāgarakṣa (ནཱ་ག་རཀྴ་, Devanagari: नागरक्ष, Romanization: nāgarakṣa, meaning Dragon Protector), and other deities, approximately thirty-five in total. The practice of Trekchö of the Great Perfection was taken as the core, combined with Tögal day and night yoga and wind practices, according to the timing, and continuously practiced with whatever was possible in the mindstream. Therefore, in the generation stage of preventing impure appearances, the practice of clarity and stability reached its peak, causing all appearances and existence to expand into the pure and vast mandala of the victorious ones, and the four activities were accomplished without hindrance. The movement of the channels, winds, and bindus of the completion stage was purified in Dhūti (དྷཱུ་ཏི, Devanagari: धूत, Romanization: dhūta, meaning Shaken), causing the wisdom of bliss and emptiness to blaze in all directions. Enlightenment was attained in the realm of primordial purity, the ground of completion, and immutability, causing all of samsara and nirvana to dissolve into the groundless, rootless, equal, vast, and expansive space. All appearances and experiences arose as self-appearances without distinction, causing the signs of grasping and clinging to be purified in the dharmadhatu, and the energy of great wisdom was perfected. In the state of equanimity, luminosity, and non-conceptuality, whatever arose in post-meditation became self-liberated wisdom, and from the luminous and non-conceptual awareness, realization was born spontaneously and naturally, thus shedding the shell of alternating between equanimity and post-meditation, and gaining mastery over the samadhi of the indivisible luminous sphere. The great teachers Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, Hungdze, Buddhasamgwa, Vairochana, Khandro Tsoyal, Nyang, Chöwang.
