He resided there. At that time, he repeatedly visited the monastery, receiving the long-life empowerment of "Accomplishing自在母" from Gonpo Sonam Chokden, and listening to essential small sections of scripture from the Kangyur. Furthermore, he listened to the earlier and later Dharma from this lama, such as the oral instruction method of the Hevajra Tantra, as well as the empowerment of the nine deities of the Ngok tradition's Hevajra, the empowerment of the nine deities of Amitayus, and the subsequent permission of the Leaf-Clad Mother. There, from the Dorje Drak Rigdzin Tulku, he received the long-life empowerment of the Iron Tree Branch of Amitayus. In Dechen Chokhor, from the Lhatse Tulku, he received the empowerment of the Blissful Protector. In Kyi-naks, he received the long-life empowerment from the Iron Chain Bridge builder Kunga Sonam, among other public teachings. He met with Gangra Lochen Shel Drak at his residence upon his return and listened to the long-life empowerment, and was presented with many Chinese fruits, and was instructed to study well, which pleased him greatly. Although he did not meet this lama after that time, due to the karmic connection of past lives and aspirations, he later held him in great reverence. After that, he went to the monastery and learned to write and read, as well as the Dharma practices of his own tradition, the peaceful and wrathful forms of the Lama, the pacifying and increasing rites, the Kagyé practices, the practices of the Great Compassionate One, Amitayus, and others, the Torma offerings to the Dharma protectors, the empowerments and subsequent permissions of Guru peaceful and wrathful, long-life, Hayagriva, Vajrapani, etc., the prophecies of places, the fire offerings, consecrations, aspiration prayers, and other recitation rituals. He mastered all the words clearly and accurately, and with just a gesture, he effortlessly understood all the instructions for actual practice. From the age of about eight or nine, he acted as his father's representative, teaching the Dharma, and managing the rituals for the deceased and the living as appropriate. At the age of nine, he received the lay vows of refuge in the Three Jewels from his father, the great Rigdzin, and later received the complete lay vows from the omniscient Fifth Dalai Lama, thus guarding the vows of individual liberation, abandoning all misdeeds. From his father, he heard the three lineages of Bodhisattva vows and teachings, and the precious mind of altruistic Bodhicitta was born in his heart.", "english_translation": "From then on, he also listened to the two traditions of mind generation from the incarnate masters Chok Zangpo Pal and Rigdzin Tulku Pema Trinle, as appropriate. Every day, he took refuge in the objects of refuge without interruption, which greatly benefited his mind, and he worked for the benefit of others.

Merely and solely contemplating, possessing the great strength of mind like the blazing fire of a great kalpa, therefore the teachings flourished, and taking upon himself the task of accomplishing the happiness and well-being of sentient beings, he also proclaimed the praises of the supreme Bodhicitta to others. The vows of mantra, as mentioned before, having listened to the complete empowerment of the Eight Herukas, understanding its symbols and meanings, as the initial cause of maturation, therefore it arose in his mind. At the age of ten, in the autumn of the Wood Sheep year (uncertain, possibly referring to a specific Wood Sheep year), on the night of receiving the empowerment of the Eight Heruka Assemblage from his father, the Supreme Vajradhara, in a vision of clear light, in the center of a delightful forest, a yogi, radiant and unparalleled, whom I thought to be the great master Padmasambhava, was surrounded by five beautiful women. The five women, in turn, handed over a vase filled with nectar, a skull cup filled with butter, a butter lamp, a sword, and a mirror, each reciting mantras to bless them. Finally, one merged into another, merging into the main deity. That merged object became a thigle like blue sapphire, merging with the sky, and clearly manifested in the state of non-duality of emptiness and wisdom, pervasive in space, and free from elaboration. Upon awakening, the experience of bliss and emptiness remained, and due to the power of blessing, the seed of empowerment that had previously been planted in his mind greatly increased, and the experience of the vase empowerment was ultimately established as being like an illusion. Thus, restraining his mind with the three vows, cherishing even the slightest details of what should be learned as if they were his own eyes, and in a state free from the defilement of the misdeeds of body, speech, and mind, solely accomplishing the benefit of others, and being skilled in the pure realm of vessel and essence, he took the generation of unarisen qualities and the increase of arisen qualities as the basis for practice.
