Ah, yes! Ah, yes! It's truly amazing! They say he was an extraordinary yogi. They also offered words of pure vision and their respective shares of the feast. That night, when they borrowed lodging under the eaves of a small house, a young monk offered tea, chang (Tibetan barley beer), and soup, and respectfully provided excellent service. It is said that he was the one who later became known as Chödzé Norkyong. The next morning, they arose early and departed, but because the desert was extremely hot, they amused themselves by bathing in the clear river. Therefore, they could only arrive at Kyichu Lingka in the darkness of the night. There, they spent the night in a military camp. The next morning, many children shouted, "There's an Acharya (Sanskrit teacher) here! Come and see the show!" Many children gathered, laughing and finding it amusing. Then, they gradually proceeded into the valley of Jar. In the last village, an old woman was crying out in grief, "My only son has died of a severe illness. You seem to be good yogis, so please make a torma (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་, Sanskrit: बलि, Roman transliteration: bali, literal meaning: offering) from this flour and prevent my only son from falling into the lower realms. Please have compassion!" They agreed to her request. It is said that the deceased obtained a good rebirth in the higher realms, and the person who is now serving as the attendant was the attendant at that time. This was heard from the inner circle of attendants. Afterwards, at dusk, they arrived at the summit of Jarpu. They enhanced the intensity of their gaze, and with the samadhi (concentration) of subduing gods and demons, they played a kangling (thighbone trumpet). At that very moment, there was a great display of miracles, with the sound of thunder and flashes of lightning, and a heavy hailstorm. However, without fear or hesitation, they swiftly departed, and in a state of unawareness, they safely arrived at the monastery. There, they asked an old woman for lodging, but she did not grant it. That night, they slept in the beggar's den at the monastery gate. It seemed that the lama had great compassion for the poor, and thinking that he was a beggar, he sent someone to deliver coarse food, a tinderbox, and flint. They accepted it and went to sleep. When they awoke from a nightmare, their whole body was covered in sweat, and they felt an unbearable sense of fear, even feeling that their breathing was difficult. However, somehow, they were naturally liberated from fear.
