It seems that I (the author) witnessed the passing away of my mother on the fifteenth day of the second month of the Water Horse year (1942). This is because her reincarnation place is Khar-chu, the practice place of Shelkar Dorje Tso. Moreover, this precious mother, at the end of the first month, sorted out the previous letters and burned the unnecessary ones. At that time, although she did not engage in new correspondence due to being in retreat, because the emanation Rinpoche had gone to study and was staying far away, the attendants requested, "It would be good if we could meet again." She said, "I don't know if we will meet again, but meeting now is enough to satisfy my mind." Then she invited Trashi Rabten to meet. In particular, on the morning of the fifteenth day of the first of the double fourth month (intercalary fourth month), she said, "The letters written to the Abas in Chibra and Nedong, send them all out this time." Then she sent them off. Here, she also finished everything that needed to be given to others. On the morning of the first day of the fourth month (Tibetan calendar) of the Water Horse year at the age of seventy-nine, she also made a will. After that, at lunchtime, she called the attendants and said, "Today, the daughter of Tuksé Rinpoche has come with gorgeous decorations." After that, after noon, she passed away without illness. At that time, the venerable one himself bestowed the guidance of transference of consciousness. The sky was clear, and auspicious signs of passing away such as rainbows and lights appeared. Starting from that night, grand funeral ceremonies were held, and offerings of body images were made in both the homeland and in exile. In the formal procession, the speech emanation Rinpoche was invited. The body was kept adorned with precious items for more than two years, and later the cremation ceremony was also presided over by the venerable one himself. At the end of October, from the place where he went to Drakdruk to oversee the general affairs of the doctrine and politics, the Queen Mother Rinpoche invited him to Sangri (near Samye Monastery), performed great service, and bestowed many empowerments and blessings. The practice festival of the fourth month (Tibetan calendar) of the Water Sheep year (1943) was combined with the events of the third day of the Black Month (Tibetan November) from that mandala for the supports of the Secret Mantra Palace, and all the venerable father and sons came to the head of the assembly and completed the consecration ceremony in a perfect manner. Grand offerings and donations were made, as well as meals for the people.

For those requesting teachings from Sa'dus and others, lavish feasts and offerings were also bestowed. At the beginning of the fourth month, the Queen Mother, with great ceremony, invited [him] to Zangs-ri. When the extensive practice of the Tenth Day Dance Offering was established at Ogyenling Monastery, [he] proceeded to the front row on the preceding and following days, receiving blessings and subsequently bestowing empowerment. The Queen Mother, officials, monks, and others also offered extensive prayers for [his] long life. Due to the exceptionally grand hospitality and offerings, after the offerings, [he] returned to the seat while continuing to benefit beings. On the night of the sixteenth day of the fifth month, in a dream, it seemed that some medicinal ingredients were entrusted to Lhun-grub, an official of Zangs-ri. The official prepared about four or five doses of medicine and gave some leftover lychees and Kashmiri items. [He] thought, "His intentions are pure." At the same time, a horse's head, a donkey's head, a rabbit's head, a mouse's head, and one said to be a jackal's head, a total of five heads, were given, with the outer skin and flesh removed and the inner brains extracted, giving off a strong odor like Soma. It was said that the head wound of the attendant had healed, but the scar from the upper wound was unlikely to recover. It was also said that there might be great joy for a while, but its consequences seemed to plunge everyone into suffering. As the dream foretold, the truth of the matter was soon revealed. Also, on the evening of the twenty-ninth of August, [he] met with the previous master and asked many questions about the Great Stupa. The master gave detailed instructions, dispelling all doubts. During the Black Month of the Wood Monkey year (Tibetan calendar, 1944), [he] traveled to Tara Mdo to offer condolences to the deceased host. On the way to the pilgrimage site, [he] was invited to the monastery for offerings and also watched the sacred dances. At Tara Mdo, a funeral ceremony was held, and extensive hospitality and offerings were given. On the return journey, [he] visited Dechen Chokhor, Orbug, Lhun-grub Rabten, and other monasteries in succession before returning to the seat. Then, in June, Desi Rinpoche Triken went to the hot springs of Olka, and on the way, passing through Lho-kha, [he] was greeted and welcomed along the way, including welcoming processions and
