The omniscient Lord himself, having passed away on the twenty-fifth day of the second month of the Water Dog year (1682), temporarily entered into a state of secrecy, planning the auspicious circumstances for the swift arrival of the supreme incarnation, and after the arrival, to offer empowerments to Miwang Chenpo (mi dbang chen po) for the elimination of obstacles, and to continuously perform the ritual sequence, and the scattered things mentioned should be known as prohibitions of secrecy. Then, on the twenty-fifth day of the ninth month, as stated in the previously sent invitation letter, he set off, passing successively through the ferry of Driu Sna ('bri'u sna) and Jela (bye la), and on the twenty-eighth he arrived at the top of the Potala Palace (pho brang rtser). On the twenty-ninth, he went to pay homage to the master who was staying in a very strict retreat room, and offered a greeting gift. The meeting was relaxed, pleasant, and very fulfilling. On the third day of the tenth month, he offered the Tshewang Gyatsa (tshe dbang brgya rtsa, Hundredfold Long Life Empowerment) and the ransom for averting death at the top of the palace. On the seventh, he met with Miwang Chenpo, and in the afternoon of that day, he offered the empowerments of Hayagriva, Vajrapani, and the Wrathful Guru to the entire upper and lower levels of the palace. Then, on the morning of the ninth, on an auspicious day, the great monastery of Namgyal Tratsang (rnam par rgyal ba'i grwa tshang) at Yasphen (yas phyin) offered a stable and long-lasting prayer with the chanting ritual of essence nectar, and offered auspicious khatas, complete monastic robes, cushions, thirty pieces of cloth, forty-five pieces of inner silk, Chinese and Mongolian snuff bottles, supports for body, speech, and mind, silk carpets, large drums, conch shells, armor, horses, copper, tents, tea, fine woolen cloth, and other essentials, a total of twenty-one sets of nine precious offerings, fifteen sets of nine precious offerings to Desi Rinpoche (sde srid rin po che), three sets of nine precious offerings including copper and Kalinga to the monastery, and one piece of southern cloth to each of the approximately two hundred monks, one serving of tea between two, one serving of good tea between ten, five-tiered gifts to the officials, two sets of nine precious offerings to the entire entourage of the palace, etc., offered lavishly from the side of the donors. From the 19th to the 3rd of the following month, empowerments and subsequent permissions were offered to Abbot Yachen every day, and Dharma services were held. These included Ratna's Wrathful Red One, the Mind Accomplishment of the Northern Treasures, the Long Life Empowerment with Unpleasant Sound, the subsequent permission of the War God Demon, the Planetary Empowerment, the Detoxification, the Life-force Entrustment of the Newly Revealed Treasure's Great God, the Dakini Shadow Dispelling Ritual, the Long Life Practice of Lotus-Born Vajra, and the empowerment of the Reversal of the Sharp Inner Cut, the exorcism three times, and the removal of curses. Large offerings of silk, gold, silver, etc., were given separately. During these times, Dr. Darmo appropriately performed many obstacle-removing rituals such as pacification, Guru Dragpo, Long Life Empowerment, the lineage transmission of লোকত্রি (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning), etc. From Tsak Gur, the recitation transmission of the full amount of the Sun Spear was received. The vows of the disciplined Jamyang Drakpa were bestowed with oral transmissions. Then, on the 4th, Sakya Drongmepa invited them to Chuzang. For the purpose of long life, the newly built temple consecrated the many newly sculpted statues of the Long Life Deity. That night, they arrived in Shigatse and stayed for three days. They bestowed empowerments of pacification, curse removal, Long Life Hayagriva Vajrapani, Guru Dragpo, লোকত্রি (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning), etc., upon Shabdrung Gyalpo, the mother and relatives of the Great Benefactor, and the mother of Jamyang Drungsar. In particular, the essential points of the Dzogchen instructions of the Newly Revealed Treasure were explained in detail to the Drungkön mother and son, giving rise to unparalleled faith, and offerings of gold, silver, silk, precious ornaments, a complete set of robes, etc., were made.
