It is said that he received the prayer, "May I achieve enlightenment in this place in the next life." In the next life, he was born as Nardo Pe and ordained in Rong Jyamchen. Because of the awakening of past habits, he remembered the deeds of his previous life and searched for the place prophesied in his previous life, thinking that this was it. He established the monastery of Kharak Bumdrub, and while propagating teachings, one night, Marpa came and prophesied, "Go to Yarong Chung from here." So he passed through Rong Chung, and as he regularly recited the names and prayers, when he arrived at the site of the garden, he felt a little tired at the phrase "Erect the banner of Dharma well." From this, he deduced that it also possessed the characteristics of the place prophesied by the lama, and he was certain that this was it, so he established the shedra of Drazhyul Dzongkhar Gyetmo Tshal. Desi Rinbungpa honored him as the chief object of offering and granted him a vast monastic estate covering all four seasons. Because he propagated the Dharma, he was known as "Omniscient Sangye Pel," and his fame spread far and wide. As it is said: Initially, it was the profound and clear, unequaled Zhiwa Lha; in the middle, it was the crown jewel of the practice lineage, Messton Tsur; and finally, it was Sangye Pel, who reached the ultimate in abandonment and realization. Among his disciples were Jamyang Kunga Chozang, who inherited the seat; Omniscient Gowo Rabjam; and Bumphag Sumpa, the founder of the place of Vulture Peak, and countless others.

He passed away into the sphere of reality. Although that venerable one had countless disciples, there were three supreme ones: the supreme one for taming human beings was Lord Gampopa, the supreme one for taming non-human beings was Tashi Tseringma, and the supreme ones for taming dakinis were the mantra-born and co-emergent Taras. Lord Gampopa Now, Lord Gampopa: In the past, in the city of Rajagriha, when the son of a wealthy and high-born householder was born as the youth Chandraprabha, he went to Vulture Peak and requested the Powerful One, the Buddha, to teach the Samadhiraja Sutra. Accepting his request, he invited the Buddha and his retinue to his home and offered them excellent hospitality. The Buddha also said, "You should uphold this sutra in the degenerate age." He replied, "I will do as you say." At that time, the Buddha also said, "When you uphold this sutra, I myself will be your companion." It is said that the bodhisattva Chandraprabha, who upheld this sutra, was Lord Gampopa, and the Buddha who promised to be his companion was Phagmo Drupa. That lord was born in the land of Bungnyi, the son of father Nyiba Gyalpo and mother Shomoza, in the year of the Earth Sheep. In his youth, he studied medicine. At the age of twenty-six, he received full ordination from Geshe Shanpa Lingpa. Then, hearing the fame of Jetsun Mila, he searched for him and heard that he was residing on the mountain of Nyenam. When he arrived there, he was offered a kapala filled with chang (Tibetan beer) that was in front of him. Thinking that he was a monk and should not drink it, the lama knew his thoughts and strongly urged him to drink it. He drank all of it without leaving any remainder. The lama asked, "What is your name?" He replied, "My name is Sonam Rinchen." The lama said "Sonam, Sonam" three times and then sang, "Sonam (Tibetan: བསོད་ནམས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: पुण्य, Sanskrit Romanization: puṇya, Literal Chinese meaning: merit) arises from accumulating the two accumulations, it is the jewel of all sentient beings." Then, he asked to receive a profound teaching. The lama asked, "Have you received empowerments?" He replied, "I have received many empowerments, such as the Six Ornaments of Precious Adornment and Chakrasamvara, from Mar Yul Loden. I have also heard many teachings of the Kadampa tradition in Uru Jangchok. I also have a samadhi that does not waver for thirteen days." The lama laughed loudly, "Haha!" He said, "Beyond that kind of samadhi, there are form and formless...
