He listened to the empowerments, transmissions, oral instructions, and pith instructions of various well-known Dharma traditions such as Shangpa, Zhi byed, Jo zhal, Bo dong pa, etc., which were so numerous that it was difficult to even count them. In particular, from the incomparable Kunga Gyaltsen, Dzogchenpa Kunga Tashi, Mentsepa Lodro Gyaltsen, the scholar-adept Mati Dhvaja (Sanskrit Devanagari: mati dhvaja, Sanskrit Romanization: mati dhvaja, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom Flag), Jamsdingpa Khuwo, and others, he listened with great diligence to all the teachings of the great omniscient Dharma Lord (Kunkhyen Chökyi Gyalpo), represented by the Heart Essence Ya Zhi, the Seven Treasures, and the Three Cycles of Rest, including the activity protectors, and mastered them all through contemplation and meditation. In secluded practice places such as Shel Drak, Chimphu, Kharchu, and Yangdzong, he repeatedly engaged in single-pointed practice of the profound yoga of the generation and completion stages for many months, bringing the warmth of the view, meditation, and fruition of the Great Perfection of self-nature to its ultimate conclusion. Many yidam deities appeared to him and he received prophecies. His altruistic activities, unblemished by the bonds of the eight worldly concerns, arose spontaneously. At the age of forty-two, in the Wood Sheep year, he established the retreat center of Dargyé Chöding. A sangha of about five hundred people seeking liberation gathered. He guided them to conduct themselves in accordance with the Dharma. He established fixed times for Dharma assemblies in summer and winter. According to each individual's inclination, he taught various timeless empowerments and teachings, and many who possessed realization emerged. For the benefit of the faithful from all directions, he traveled to Ü-Tsang, Lho Mön, and other places, and taught various Dharma doors such as practical empowerments, transmissions, and oral instructions according to each individual's capacity, thus benefiting all who connected with him. Among the disciples who relied on the sacred Dharma were numerous great beings such as Zhamarpa Könchok Wang, Drigung Zurpa, and others, as well as tulkus such as Jangchub Lingpa, Nangtsewa Gar gyi Wangpo, Dechen Lingpa, and others who received the transmissions of profound treasures, as well as many scholars such as Pelding Rabjampa and Pelgang Lotsawa, and many yogis with meditative experience such as the great adept Kunsang Pelbar and Long Yangpa, and in particular, Tenzin Chökyi Gyalpo, his heart-son Kunga Drakpa, Shami Pelyor Gyaltsenpa, and others who held the heart essence of the teachings, as well as many patrons such as Sakyong Yartokpa and Chongyepa, and also ordained monks, tantrikas, and male and female meditators.

Having benefited many disciples such as householders, he had many students, including disciples and grand-disciples, who upheld the Dharma lineage in U-Tsang, Ngari, Kham, Kongpo, and other regions, and he was known as a holder of the Nyingma teachings. His activities of Dharma were manifestly accomplished. Thus, he lived in this realm for seventy-seven years and passed away near Yoru Trakdruk in the Iron Horse year. The reincarnation, Tenzin Drakpa. The reincarnation, Tenzin Drakpa, was born as the son of father Tashi and mother Samten Zangmo in Nyenlung Gabla in the Fire Monkey year. He was prophesied to be the reincarnation of the great treasure revealer Pema Lingpa. From the time he could speak, he clearly spoke of his previous life's imprints. At the age of four, the sons of the treasure revealer invited him to Bumthang and offered him abundant wealth and honor at their respective places. At Pema Ling, he was enthroned as the successor of his son, Könchok Zangpo, and was ordained. He listened to and studied the empowerments, transmissions, and practice rituals of the upper treasure, and soon after, Dharma Lord Könchok Zangpo passed away. He then temporarily resided at Dechen Ling with his son Dawa and listened to various Dharma teachings. At the age of twelve, the reincarnation Sonam Rangdrol invited him to Tibet. He was invited to reside in the sacred places of southern Tibet, and he was offered wealth and honor. He received limitless Dharma gates of both Sutra and Tantra, new and old, and in particular, he received all the empowerments, instructions, transmissions, oral instructions, and practical guidance of the Dharma cycles of Dharma Lord Kunkhyen Chenpo and the treasure revealer Pema Lingpa, like pouring from one vase to another. He practiced and cultivated their meaning through the profound yoga of the generation and completion stages, and he resolved all doubts in his practice and training in the presence of his lama. At the age of twenty, he went to Lhodrak. The monks of Tsoyu Drakkarwa, along with offerings from monasteries and other places, were greeted and offered by all the former disciples and patrons. There, he listened to and studied various empowerments and transmissions, as well as Cham dances and songs, from the lama who presided. In Bumthang, he listened to some empowerments and transmissions, such as the Eight Heruka Sadhana empowerment, in the presence of his son Dawa. All the people of that region, high and low, offered to him and fulfilled their wishes with Dharma that suited their inclinations. He then went to Tibet again and relied on the great reincarnation, the lord of the lineage himself, as well as the great Sakya Ngakchang.
