The meaning lies in practice, which is the view of abiding in emptiness, the compassion of not abandoning sentient beings, the bodhisattva's discipline of acting as spoken, and the blessings of the Sugata. Practicing these is called "cutting the realm." So, what is being cut? The Treasury says: "Not abandoning subtle distractions, the object abides nearby, from improper attention, afflictions arise." Therefore, what is to be cut are the afflictions. These afflictions arise from subtle distractions, objects, and improper attention. Therefore, the yogi places the object nearby, removes the habitual tendencies, and, with improper attention as a guide, cuts off the afflictions at the very place of the object, hence it is called "cutting the realm." Its key instructions, those transmitted from the holy ones are called "male cutting," and those transmitted from Machik are called "female cutting." In general, most of the key instruction methods that came to Tibet involve turning disciples away from negativity, thereby purifying the afflictions in their mindstream. However, this Pacifying Dharma, due to the karmic power of previous lives, quickly pacifies the sufferings of those who are born into inferior bodies, those with diseases, the poor, and those tormented by non-humans, and combines them with yoga, hence it is called "Pacifying Suffering." As it is also said in the Mother of the Buddhas: "The mantra that completely pacifies all suffering."

The eleven mother lineage, the Lamas of bliss and experience, are: Tso Kye Dorje, Indra Bhuti, DomBipa, Dorje Drilbupa, Tillipa, Nakpoi Zhabs, Geigpa Dorje, Luipa, Birupa, Kunga Nyingpo, Kukuripa and others. The eleven Mahamudra symbolic Lamas are: Saraha, Charmapa, Gunari, Toktsepa and others. The ten Lamas who introduce awareness are: Ritro Ma, Drime Ma, Pemo Zhabs, Kumuda, Dewai Jungne and others. By relying on them and listening to their teachings, common attainments such as underground treasures, eye medicine, swift feet, pills, Yaksha women, swords, sky-goers, etc., were accomplished, and the supreme attainment, the wisdom of the great path of seeing, was attained. So, how did he benefit beings in Tibet? In general, he came to Tibet five times. The first time he went from Drintang Lesgo to Tsari. He separated Kongyul and Sumyul, and trampled the three lower Kham regions with his feet. At that time, there were no vessels to bestow the Dharma, but later it was prophesied that the teachings would flourish in those places. The second time, he came from Kashmir to Ngari. He gave some instructions to Zhangzhung Glingkhawa and Druk Lama. The third time, he came from Nepal with merchants. He met the yellow-bearded man of Yarlung and gave many Chöd teachings. The fourth time, he went to Shauk Takgo and stayed in Gnyal. Then he went to Ü-Tsang (dbUs), and did things like Rmaso. The fifth time, he went to China and stayed there for twelve years, and then went to Dingri. Thus, although there were countless disciples, the most famous lineage holders were three, early, middle and late. The first lineage is: the three cycles of Pacifying Tara spoken to Jnana Guhya of Kashmir, and the sadhanas of Yamantaka and others. This lineage was eventually passed on to Rog Sherab Wo.

These are the three main schools of Ma, So, and Kam, along with their branches. The holy Ma was born as the son of Ma Mönlam in Upper Kyerna. From him, the lineage was passed down successively, eventually reaching Rok Sherab Ö. The So lineage is as follows: A famine occurred in the region of Ramowa, and the family became beggars. They had two sons, the younger was called So Chung, and the elder was called So Ring. So Chung was taken in by the holy one, and extraordinary realization arose in him. He received all the teachings and was taken under his care. The categories of Dharma in the So lineage are: the verbal transmission and the meaning transmission. The verbal transmission is further divided into the great transmission and the minor transmission. In the great transmission, there are forty-five great holy beings, two middling ones, and seventeen small ones. Each of them has a complete history of their accomplishments, the essence of their teachings, and the way they guide their disciples, thus there are fifty-four transmissions. Because it evolves into one hundred and three transmissions, it is called the great transmission. The minor transmission includes: four stages of meaning, long and short periods of meditation, eight kinds of fame, the three father-son deities, or flawed and flawless, etc., totaling thirty-two Dharma categories. The meaning transmission is divided into biased and unbiased. The first is that fifty-four male and female yogis have fifty-four meaning transmissions, thirty-two lamas have thirty-two meaning transmissions, and seventeen holy ones have seventeen meaning transmissions. The unbiased ones include the eye-opening cycle and the dakini cycle. The first has four sons and five mothers, which is the hidden root text, the eye-opening. Its branches are the teachings on time and fractions of time, one hundred and six introductions, and the unobstructed pure secret path of Vajrasattva. In the dakini cycle, the So school has four major
