Similarly, combine them. When going to sleep, may I attain the Dharmakaya (Chos kyi sku) of the Buddha. If I have a dream, may I realize all phenomena as dreamlike. When waking up, may I awaken from ignorance. When getting up, may I attain the Rupakaya (Gzugs kyi sku) of the Buddha. When putting on clothes, may I put on the clothes of shame and embarrassment. When fastening the belt, may I be connected with the roots of virtue. When sitting on a mat, may I attain the Vajra seat of Bodhichitta (Byang chub kyi snying po). When leaning back, may I attain the Bodhi tree. When lighting a fire, may I burn the firewood of afflictions. When it is burning, may the fire of wisdom blaze. When the cooking is finished, may I attain the nectar of wisdom. When eating food, may I attain the food of meditation. When going outside, may I be liberated from the city of Samsara. When descending the stairs, may I enter Samsara for the benefit of sentient beings. When opening the door, may I open the door of the city of liberation. When closing the door, may I close the door of the three lower realms. When entering the path, may I enter the noble path. When going upwards, may I place all sentient beings in the happiness of the heavens. When going downwards, may I cut off the three lower realms. When meeting sentient beings, may I meet the perfect Buddha. When placing my foot, may I rely on the benefit of all sentient beings. When lifting my foot, may I liberate all sentient beings from Samsara. When seeing someone adorned, may I attain the adornment of the marks and signs (Mtshan dang dpe byad). When seeing someone unadorned, may I possess the qualities of practice. When seeing a full container, may I be filled with qualities. When seeing an empty one, may I be empty of faults. When seeing sentient beings happy, may I rejoice in the Dharma. When seeing someone unhappy, may I be displeased with all conditioned phenomena. When seeing happiness, may I attain the resources of the Buddha's happiness. When seeing suffering, may I pacify the suffering of all sentient beings. When seeing a sick person, may I be liberated from all illnesses. When crossing a river, may I cross the ocean of Samsara. When bathing, may my body and mind be pure and without defilement. When seeing a Stupa (Mchod rten), may it become an object of offering for all beings. When speaking of the Buddha's qualities, may I become the Paramita (Parol tu phyin pa) of inexhaustible qualities. Know that, like this, for whatever actions are done, one should regard them as suitable and cultivate them. The detailed content should be consulted in the Sutras (Mdo). By abiding in such conduct yoga, one will quickly accomplish immeasurable benefit for others. As it says in the Samadhiraja Sutra (Ting nge 'dzin rgyal po): The teachings that you should uphold, keep them in your heart. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as people name things and thereby create corresponding concepts and attachments, our minds also waver accordingly. As the 'Ratnavali' states: 'Even if benefiting others' actions do not have immediate effect, one should always maintain the intention to benefit them. Wherever the mind is focused, it actually enters that state.' Like this, the method of transforming the afflictions arising from taking false appearances as objects, and all the fabrications of ordinary behavior, into a treasure of unsurpassed virtue, is to use this alchemy to accomplish great goals! Second, regarding the cultivation of ultimate Bodhicitta (བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་སེམས་, bodhicitta, bodhicitta, the mind of enlightenment), a detailed explanation of the rationality of cultivation and the order of cultivation. These contents can be understood from my 'Great Madhyamaka Quintessence Free from Extremes: A Clear Mirror of Profound Meaning' and other books. In summary, as stated in the 'Middle Stages of Cultivation': 'Having generated relative Bodhicitta in this way, one should strive to generate ultimate Bodhicitta.' Therefore, for this profound path, one should strive through the three aspects of hearing, thinking, and meditating. Because the only antidote to the two obscurations is this, and if the two obscurations are not removed, it is impossible to attain omniscience. As stated in the 'Bodhicaryavatara': 'Emptiness is the antidote to the darkness of afflictions and cognitive obscurations. If you want to quickly attain omniscience, why do you not meditate on emptiness?' So, what is its nature and how should it be cultivated? The 'Middle Stages of Cultivation' states: 'Ultimate Bodhicitta is beyond the world, free from all elaborations, very bright, the object of ultimate reality, without defilement, unwavering, stable like the flame of a lamp in a windless place.' To accomplish it, one needs to constantly, respectfully, and for a long time, practice the yoga of Shamatha (ཞི་གནས་, śamatha, shamatha, calming the mind) and Vipassanā (ལྷག་མཐོང་, vipaśyanā, vipashyana, insight meditation). As the 'Ratnagotravibhāga' states: 'Because the non-conceptual wisdom of Dharma arises, it is considered supreme.' Like this, the wisdom that directly realizes freedom from elaboration is its nature. And this must also be achieved through meditating on the union of Shamatha and Vipassanā. As stated in the 'Bodhicaryavatara': 'Through Vipassanā that is fully endowed with Shamatha, one knows that afflictions are completely destroyed. First, one should seek Shamatha, and its accomplishment depends on non-attachment to the world.' Therefore, the cultivation of ultimate Bodhicitta is divided into two aspects: the practice during meditative equipoise and the practice after meditative equipoise. The first aspect is further divided into two aspects: cultivating Shamatha and cultivating Vipassanā. The first aspect is further divided into three aspects: the accumulations for Shamatha. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
