The Vehicle of Bodhisattvas: For those to be tamed by profound Dharma and vast Dharma, the vast Dharma is shown, dispelling the stains of non-understanding, wrong understanding, and doubt. Those who do not have faith are made to have faith, those who are not gathered are gathered, those who are not ripened are ripened, and those who are not liberated are meditated upon to be completely liberated. Also, for the four types of guests, those who are to be tamed by peaceful or wrathful means are shown various aspects accordingly. Those who deserve to be punished are punished, and those who deserve to be taken care of are taken care of, thus guiding them onto the path of liberation. In all these cases, it should be grasped by the wisdom of the three circles being completely pure. During the giving of Dharma, recite as many verses as possible from the scriptures. Finally, seal it with pure dedication and aspiration. Even meditating on such a specific aim for each session is certain to bring immeasurable merit, because the field is special in that it includes all guests of existence and peace, the intention is special in that it is grasped by loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, the object is special in that it gives away body, possessions, and all virtues, the method is special in that it possesses extremely vast visualization and skillful means, and the dedication is special in that it possesses the dedication of the three circles being completely pure. Through this amazing sequence of practice, the actions of the great Bodhisattvas, who actually benefit limitless beings through the great magical powers accomplished from the strength of great aspirations, will also be quickly accomplished. How is that? In the 'Arrayed Tree' chapter of the Avatamsaka Sutra, the excellent Upasika (Sanskrit: Upāsikā, meaning 'female attendant') Phul Du Chungwa said to Norzang, 'I have attained a samadhi called 'Adornment of the Inexhaustible Treasury of Merit' and extensively praised its qualities.' Then she said, 'Son of good family, wait a moment and deities will appear.' As soon as she said this, countless beings, summoned by the previous aspirations of the excellent Upasika Phul Du Chungwa, came from the east. Similarly, they came from all directions. The Upasika Phul Du Chungwa placed them on various cushions and completely satisfied them with various foods, tastes, colors, and scents that they each desired. She completely trained them, completely pleased them, completely delighted them, and made them very satisfied and comfortable.
