Individual faults and common faults. First, being born in hell and experiencing its suffering is the result of engaging in non-virtuous actions. The 'Letter to a Friend' states: 'Sentient beings who engage in sinful deeds will constantly suffer in the hells of Punarjanma Rebirth), Thik Nag, Rabtu Tsawa, Samghata, Raurava, and Avici.' Therefore, the suffering there is: 'The suffering of being stabbed three hundred times with short spears in a single day in this world is unbearable, let alone the suffering of hell, which cannot be endured even in the slightest.' It also says: 'Seeing, hearing, remembering, reading, and depicting the scenes of hell are frightening, let alone experiencing the endless ripening of karma?' Tormented by various sufferings. If reborn as a hungry ghost: 'In the realm of hungry ghosts, the suffering caused by the lack of desires is constant and cannot be pacified. The suffering caused by hunger, thirst, cold, heat, fatigue, and fear is extremely unbearable.' Various specific sufferings are described in the scriptures. If reborn as an animal, the suffering is: 'In the realm of animals, there are various sufferings such as being killed, bound, and beaten. Those who abandon peaceful virtues devour each other, which is extremely unbearable.' It is like this. Even if reborn as a human, one cannot escape suffering. Therefore, 'Humans are not truly happy; one should know that they are impermanent, selfless, and impure.' And so on. Even if reborn as a god, one cannot escape suffering. 'Although there is great bliss in the heavens, the suffering of death Death) and falling is even greater.' Therefore, wise people should not create the karma of samsara for the sake of the heavens, which will eventually be exhausted. The color of the body becomes unpleasant, one dislikes the seat, the flower garlands wither, the clothes become stained, and an unprecedented odor emanates from the body. These are called the five signs of death in the heavens, which also occur to the beings in the heavens, just like the signs that foretell the death of people on earth.' It is like this. If reborn as an Asura, the suffering is: 'Asuras, by nature, are jealous of the glory of the gods, and their mental suffering is great.' Although they have wisdom, they cannot see the truth due to their obscurations.' It is like this. Therefore, no matter which of the six realms one is born into, it is suffering, because samsara is like that. Individual faults and common faults.
