Furthermore, there is something inexhaustible that appears as an external entity, yet arises from one's own internal actions. Good external conduct or eloquent speech is also considered to generate Dharma. Resolving to abandon self-grasping, discarding it like trash, or saying 'It's okay, I'll take responsibility' when other disputes arise, is also considered to generate Dharma. However, that is not the primary evidence; the key lies within one's own mind. If we consider Dharma in general, whether Dharma is generated or not depends on body, speech, and mind. Even if the body and speech are in a certain state, the focus remains on the mind. For this, the Lama (spiritual teacher) will impart all the instructions, and one must have the courage to practice, and continue to practice until realization. Furthermore, sincerely pray to the deities and the Lama, diligently engage in entrusting activities to the Dharma protectors, and strive to make this life meaningful. The Necessity of Training: Third, the necessity of training is: 'All Dharmas converge into one intention, its merits are distinguished by others.' This means that the necessity of all Sutras and Shastras (treatises) is to attain liberation, and to attain liberation, one must subdue self-grasping. Hearing, thinking, and meditating are all for the purpose of subduing self-grasping. If one cannot abandon self-grasping, then even the liberation of the Hearers (Shravakas) is unattainable, let alone omniscience. Therefore, one must strive to become wise, uphold the precepts, etc. If all of these become 'I am smarter than others,' etc., becoming an accomplice to self-grasping, then that is wrong. If it becomes an antidote to self-grasping, then the necessity of training is fulfilled. This does not depend on other favorable conditions, therefore its merits are superior. Other Dharmas require dependence on other conditions, require good faculties, require youth, require solitude, require practice at the Lama's place, require absence of illness, require absence of mental obstacles, and so on. Here, there are two: the common discipline and the uncommon Great Vehicle vows, these two are indispensable. If these two are lacking, it is like a tree without roots, impossible to succeed. If these two are present, then there is no need to rely on other conditions, therefore it possesses the merit of being superior to other Dharmas. If it is said that not relying on other conditions is the reason for superior merit, then what is the reason for not relying on conditions? It is 'transforming adversity into a support for practice.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is good even at that time. Here, reasons can also be added, and all that does not possess suffering and intense afflictions, etc., becomes a condition for this. In this life, abandon all other meditations. From today onwards, I will practice this, and I also rejoice, and it will arise in you as well. Without this, all so-called good meditations will become empty talk. Don't you know the antidote? Like this, If it has not become an actual contradiction, has not become a contradiction in lineage, has not diminished afflictions through strength, but instead has become more arrogant and conceited. If one remembers or meditates on this once in their mind, 1-445 Afflictions gradually arise, and they will also gradually subside. Therefore, when unpleasantness arises in one's own mind, or when one fears that unpleasantness will arise, one should take on all the unpleasantness and fears of all sentient beings. If you understand this, emptiness will also be understood naturally. Without this, all so-called high views and good meditations will fail due to vanity. Especially for those who bear the burden of the masses, without this, there is nothing to say. Without this, even a little bit of virtue is as easily erased as dust on a conch shell. If you can transform the above into an aid for meditation, everything will be transformed into the Great Vehicle path. That is to say, in this age when the five degenerations are flourishing, all evils are complete, there is no time in life to do any Dharma, etc., and one is deluded by various evil views, by practicing giving and receiving, whatever one does can be transformed into the Great Vehicle path. These are the explanations of the meaning of the verses. Using prose to advise one's own mind. Now, using prose to advise one's own mind. 'Do not be self-righteous,' that is to say, do not be self-righteous for any reason, such as being kind to others, or being intelligent, virtuous, meditating well, having a high position, etc., 1-446 Do not have too high expectations. In particular, if one is always meditating in a cave, all prayers will become self-righteous, so not having this is very important. Even if one does altruistic deeds and becomes self-righteous, but because it was not entrusted by others, but was one's own vow, there is no place where one will be self-righteous. If one cries because of property, or cries to friends because one cannot protect the body, one should not do this to parents, teachers, etc. If one meditates like that, there will definitely be bad quarrels, so 'do not provoke bad quarrels,' that is to say, even ordinary laypeople will have various bad quarrels, and they will be ridiculed by others, and they themselves will not be able to bear it. So, if a person who practices the Dharma provokes various bad quarrels, they will not be tolerated by the Dharma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
