May the karmas accumulated that are certain to ripen and the results that are certain to be experienced ripen in this life. Here, too, it ripens in old age, and receiving in early life, and so on. From there, starting from the root mother to all sentient beings, from the uninterrupted hell upwards, to the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas, is the taking. As it says in Ornament for the Sutras, 'Completely under the power of enemies, oppressed by suffering, obscured by darkness, entering a difficult path, completely bound by great bonds, attached to food mixed with poison, the path is completely lost, entering a wrong path, the sentient beings with little strength, I have compassion for them.' Like that. Also, for those who cannot be tamed due to many conceptualizations, in order to keep the mind on the object and to become quick, these two should be applied to the wind. At the beginning, practice giving and taking for a long time, then meditate. Then, become very skilled and shorten the time, then apply it to the wind. 'Applying it to the wind' means that when the breath goes out, one gives one's body, possessions, and three virtues to sentient beings; when the breath comes in, one takes the sins, sufferings, bad words, etc. of sentient beings upon oneself. Without being distracted elsewhere, it is said that this will seize the mind and spontaneously generate samadhi. Similarly, eating, drinking, talking to people, etc., all of these are done by applying it to the wind. These are the main practices. How to practice in the subsequent practice: 'Three objects, three poisons, three roots of virtue, the essential instructions of the subsequent practice are briefly summarized.' The way to train in the subsequent conduct is that during the time of subsequent conduct, the way to train is to rely on the three objects of the six senses, the desirable, the undesirable, and the intermediate. If afflictions such as desire, hatred, and ignorance arise in one's mind, one thinks, 'May these three poisons of sentient beings ripen on me. May sentient beings be without attachment, without hatred, and without ignorance, and be endowed with virtue.' Training the mind in this way is the essential instruction of the subsequent practice. The essence of the essential instructions is briefly summarized: 'All actions are tamed with words.' The way to train the mind with words during the time of subsequent conduct is that at all times, such as walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, one trains with words like reciting a mantra. As Jowo said, 'In all parts of eastern India, the Four Noble Truths, such as the truth of suffering and the truth of origin, are practiced with words.'

Sometimes he treated the eight worldly concerns (eight worldly dharmas) equally, sometimes he spoke of gain and loss, sometimes he spoke of good and bad, sometimes he spoke of pleasant and unpleasant, and sometimes he spoke of fame and obscurity. He extracted the beginning and end of verses such as 'Worldly Wise One'. Püchungwa also enumerated the deaths of the Gyal Lhakhang (temple name) family members. Sometimes he paused at each step, reciting 'Death, death'. Langri Tangpa also said, 'I offer all benefits and victories to Jowo (Supreme) sentient beings.' Why is that? Because all happiness or merit depends on sentient beings. I take all losses and failures upon myself. Why is that? Because all faults or evils arise from clinging to self.' Like this, he constantly taught that in all actions, may the sins and sufferings of sentient beings ripen on me, and may my happiness and merit ripen on sentient beings. Or: 'May I bear the ripening of their sins, and may all my virtues ripen on them!' Or: 'May the suffering of all sentient beings ripen on me, and may my virtues enable them all to attain happiness!' Or: 'Whether seeing, hearing, or remembering, whether touching or speaking, may I always benefit beings in every way, and may they always have happiness!' Like this, he constantly recited as if reciting a heart mantra, and by practicing through words, one will eventually enter the real meaning and arise un-fabricated in the continuum. All the Nyingma's recitation practices have the same meaning. At first, there may be times when you can't recite it. After getting used to it, you will feel that there is no sound more pleasant than the sound of the manifested world, so my strength is not enough, do as you said. If you think these words are useless, then when Sné Zurpa recites Tsenda Maharosha Wrathful One), Jowo (Supreme) will come immediately. Why do you say this path doesn't exist? Therefore, this will not be affected by drowsiness or sleepiness, so being quick is good.' He said, 'Skillful means and wisdom are the first bhumi (first of the ten Bodhisattva grounds, Joyful Ground).' These are like the body or substance of mind training (Tibetan: བློ་སྦྱོང་). Now, to show its branches or detailed explanations, to explain how to practice. Now, to show its branches or detailed explanations, it is divided into verses and prose. First, explain the meaning of the verses. These verses have no fixed number or order. He said that until the meaning arises in the mind, one should practice continuously, so there is no connection between before and after. In addition, some connections are also retained in the key points of oral teachings. Lamas -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ི་གསུང་
