Even when reaching a place with no corners, one should train oneself to go straight ahead without fear, dread, or shame. When giving to the external world, one should also visualize that the golden ground is adorned with countless patterns drawn with lapis lazuli, like the pure Buddha-fields of Sukhavati or the Lotus World. The pure lands mentioned in the scriptures also refer to this. Giving also includes giving to the guru and the Buddha. As stated in the Avatamsaka Sutra, by offering immeasurable clouds of offerings, all their intentions are fulfilled, all liberations are developed and increased, and become pure, etc. Giving to Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas can abandon all remaining residues to be abandoned, perfect the two accumulations, and thus attain Buddhahood. Visualize that the clouds of offerings fulfill their intentions as they wish. Giving of resources includes horses, elephants, grains, jewels, food, clothing, land, houses, retinues, and all other autonomous things. For non-autonomous things, whether internal or external objects, anything taken without permission cannot be given. For example, the forests, flowers, jewels, etc. of the external world, which are not owned by individuals but are accomplished by the common merit of sentient beings, one also has the right to use, so they can be given. However, internal sentient beings cannot be given because they each have their own owner. For example, music is only offered as the cry of a swan. The body cannot be given because it is owned by oneself, as the scriptures say. This is the case for those with small minds, but for those with broad minds and no selfish desires, one can give the things of others for the sake of others. For example, the divine guru offered all the great non-human Thumo Kun to the Three Jewels and made a vow. A servant, because of affection for the master, even if he uses property etc. without asking when doing things for the master, there is no fault. Furthermore, according to different philosophical tenets, for example, for the Shravaka vehicle, even if one's own appearance is considered the result of one's own afflictions, since it is not given to others, everything can be given. For the Yogacara, even if one's own consciousness is considered real, since it is not given to others, everything can be given. If the Madhyamaka considers illusion to be like emanation, it can be given, because self and other are inseparable, and clinging to duality is inverted. The above discussion about whether resources can be given or not is only based on the thinking of ordinary people, not the true Dharma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If an understanding arises, then all the transformations of the six senses are released freely. That is, for each form (gzugs), there are three states: likeable, dislikeable, and neutral. Each of these states fully contains five or six functions. Therefore, releasing the likeable generates joy, and releasing the dislikeable becomes a condition for renunciation. Similarly, for each form, there are fully five or six enjoyments, from color and shape as the enjoyment of the eye sense, up to the Dharma practiced by the mind sense. Each form has countless enjoyments. Like the sounds of bells and conches, there are countless enjoyments. As explained in the sixth dedication of Vajra Banner, release in that way. From each of these enjoyments, countless worldly and transcendental resources arise, so that, as before, all the causes and conditions for attaining Buddhahood arise, and one thinks of becoming a Buddha. If applied from the perspective of those to be tamed, for those who desire wealth, the appearance of wealth arises, including food, clothing, shelter, grain, horses, cattle, land, parents, relatives, retinues, freedom from illness and evil spirits, and whatever else is desired. For those who desire divine things, the appearance of temples, monasteries, companions, books, places of worship, and offerings arises, and whatever else is desired. If considered from the perspective of the sacred Dharma, the appearance of leisure and endowment, the seven noble riches such as faith, the three trainings, the stages of the path such as impermanence, the four immeasurables, the two Bodhicittas, the six perfections, the four ways of gathering disciples, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the stages of vows, the four classes of tantra, the four activities, the qualities and virtues of the Buddha, and whatever else is desired, arises, along with the corresponding faith and means of taming. All of these become causes and conditions for attaining Buddhahood, and one thinks of becoming a Buddha. Similarly, apply this to sound up to Dharma, and especially to the offering of a single portion of food or drink. When offering to the Lama and the Three Jewels, in general, just as it says, 'Having understood the three aspects of form, I offer to all the gods,' offer all three in the manner described above. In particular, for each item of wealth, property, land, home, food, clothing, and bedding, there are countless aspects, each fully containing five functions, and each of these has countless aspects. From the light of a lamp, the light of jeweled lamps appears in all Buddha-fields; from the sound of a bell, music appears; from fragrance... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
