First, it explains the emptiness and selflessness of all phenomena, then it describes the faults of samsara, gradually guiding listeners and self-realizers towards peaceful nirvana. In the intermediate turning of the wheel, to refute the clinging to inherent existence, it teaches that all phenomena from form to omniscient wisdom are like emptiness, dreams, and illusions, thus leading beings to the supreme vehicle. In the final turning of the wheel, it reveals that conventional illusory appearances, when analyzed, are non-existent, while the ultimate reality is the nature of the dharmadhatu, realizing the unchanging, perfectly established nature, thus showing the supreme method for attaining ultimate liberation. All three turnings of the wheel are profound because they teach according to the capacity of those to be tamed, teaching whatever suits each individual. However, since they gradually lead and ultimately reveal the definitive meaning, the latter is said to be superior. Even within the latter, the secret mantra vehicle is said to be superior to the characteristic vehicle. Within secret mantra, the yoga of action, performance, and yoga are gradually more profound than each other, with highest yoga being the most profound. Within highest yoga, the non-dual root tantras are said to be superior to the father and mother tantras. The meaning of the tantras is that in all circumstances, the continuity of the self-nature dharmadhatu is never interrupted. This self-nature dharmadhatu is endowed with all supreme aspects: emptiness, objectless compassion, great bliss, and the indivisible union of ultimate wisdom body, pervading all animate and inanimate things like the sky. This very nature, in all impure sentient beings, is like a treasure in the ground, capable of being freed from obscurations. This primordially spontaneously established state is called the Sugatagarbha (Tathāgatagarbha), the cause of the lineage. Having entered the path, through non-conceptual samadhi, the conceptual thoughts and consciousnesses gradually cease, and the ultimate nature of reality is gradually seen, this is called the object of the path, the lineage of means. Having perfected the yoga of the four approaches and accomplishments, and having abandoned all the temporary four types of obscurations, the uncontaminated four bodies are manifested, this is called the lineage of the result, possessing two purities. The meaning of mantra is to gradually stop the root of samsara, which is conceptual thought. The generation stage is the antidote to coarse conceptual thoughts, and the completion stage is the antidote to all conceptual thoughts. In the generation stage, the father aspect represents all great bliss, and the mother aspect represents emptiness. Both symbolize the ultimate union of bliss and emptiness. Having understood this, in order to gradually abandon the adventitious stains of afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge that obscure the Dharmakaya, one should gradually traverse the five paths and ten bhumis. First, one enters the path of accumulation, keeping the precepts as much as possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guard the pure sense faculties. When the doors of the senses enter objects, Examine well and abandon improper thoughts. One should also know the measure of food and adhere to it. During the day always, and at the beginning and end of the night, Meditate on the yoga of the union of calm abiding and insight. Examine the actions of the three doors and adhere to mindfulness. In the small accumulation path, this body is impure, Feelings are suffering, and the mind is impermanent, Realizing that all phenomena are without self, in mindfulness, It is said to meditate on the four close placements. In the middle, abandoning arisen sins, Not generating those not yet arisen, and virtuous dharmas, Generating those not yet arisen and increasing those that have arisen, One should mainly meditate on the four complete abandonments. That is also called diligent complete placement. In the great, the samadhi of desire for virtue, Diligent samadhi, samadhi of mind, And meditating on the samadhi of discernment, One should abide in the four legs of miraculous power. In the path of joining, these objects that are grasped, Realizing that they are without inherent nature, one should meditate, In that order, there are warmth, peak, Patience, and the supreme dharma. In the first two, one relies on faith and diligence, Mindfulness, samadhi, and the power of wisdom. In the latter ones, those become strengths, Meditating without being disturbed by opposing factors. In the path of seeing, the four noble truths, When the nature of dharma is newly seen manifestly, Realizing that both grasper and grasped are without, Sixteen moments of wisdom gradually arise. That is also mindfulness and perfect discrimination of dharma, Diligence, joy, perfect pliancy, Samadhi and equanimity, perfect, It is said to meditate on the seven branches of enlightenment. In the path of meditation, the meaning of the nature of dharma has already been seen, Habituating to it, relying on the nine uncontaminated grounds, From gradually abandoning what is to be abandoned, The antidote wisdom gradually increases. There also, there are perfect view and understanding, Speech, the end of action, livelihood, Effort, mindfulness, and samadhi, The eight branches of the noble path are said to be meditated upon. In the path of no more learning, the two obscurations and their imprints, And vows are abandoned, having attained the ultimate transformation of the basis, Having attained the perfection of one's own abandonment and realization, One will attain the state of perfect qualities. The five paths and ten grounds are to be traversed gradually, The meaning of ground is the basis of all qualities, Liberation through aspiration, pure intention, realization, And attainment of accomplishment and abandonment of obscurations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
