For the sake of all sentient beings, I shall attain the state of perfect Buddhahood. To that end, I shall practice the two stages of Bhagavan (Bhagavan, The Possessor) Hevajra (Hevajra) with its retinue. Among these, the first verse shows refuge in a concise way. The first phrase 'beings' shows the cause of taking refuge; the second phrase shows the object; the third shows the time; the fourth shows the manner or essence, and takes refuge in those. The second verse shows the generation of Bodhicitta (Bodhicitta, the mind of enlightenment). Regarding the generation of Bodhicitta, the text says: 'With wisdom and compassion, through diligence for sentient beings.' However, during meditation, one must first proceed through compassion. Therefore, one must meditate on strong compassion, seeing that all sentient beings cannot bear the suffering of samsara (samsara, cyclic existence), and resolving to liberate them from it. Second is wisdom. Observing with great wisdom, recognizing that no one other than the Buddha has the power to liberate from the suffering of samsara, and resolving to attain such a state. Third is diligence. One must also meditate, recognizing that even with leisure, one cannot easily attain such a state of Buddhahood, and therefore one must attain it through strong diligence. This also has two aspects: respectful diligence like a burning flame, and constant diligence like the flow of a river. The first is to engage in strong diligence with a respectful mind, like a burning flame; the second is to continuously maintain strong diligence, like the flow of a river. These are the causes. Then, 'Buddha in front' refers to visualizing all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas appearing in front of oneself. 'I generate the perfect Bodhicitta' refers to taking them as witnesses, for the benefit of all sentient beings, I shall attain the state of perfect Buddhahood. To that end, I vow to practice the two stages of Bhagavan Hevajra with its retinue. In this way, one generates Bodhicitta by making a vow. Whether brief or extensive, one must keep these thoughts unscattered. The antidotes to these are that the main obstacles to meditating on Bodhicitta are the afflictions of hatred and jealousy. Through the affliction of hatred, one kills and beats sentient beings; through jealousy, one destroys the virtues of others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Harming others, speaking harsh words, etc., in short, all the sins and obscurations accumulated through hatred and jealousy are gathered on the moment of the Alaya consciousness. Transforming this Alaya consciousness into the essence of great bliss wisdom—Bodhi mind, and meditating on it, is the method of purification. The result of purification is that through such meditation, one can obtain the ability to benefit others without being abandoned by the great compassion of the Lord Vajradhara (Kyé Dorjé). The above explained the generation of Bodhicitta. Now begins the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva (Dorjé Sempa). The third part is the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva, including visualizing the deity, reciting the mantra, and the method of confession and vows. First, visualize oneself as the Lord, the essence of Kyé Dorjé, appearing with eight faces and sixteen arms. From 'on the lotus and moon seat on the crown of the head' to 'adorned with six bone ornaments,' follow the ritual. Here, according to the words of the venerable Rinpoche, one should recite 'hair tied in a topknot, wearing the diadem of Akshobhya.' From 'feet vajra' to 'in union,' follow the ritual. Then, the second part, reciting the mantra, first visualize: on the moon mandala in the heart of the father, there is a white Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,seed syllable), radiating light. The light radiating from there shines in the ten directions, and from the hearts of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the ten directions, invite the essence of the deity, which is non-dual with their wisdom and possesses the blessings of the three places (body, speech, and mind), transforming into nectar and dissolving into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,seed syllable). This nectar should also be visualized as the essence of the deity possessing the blessings of the three places. As the Tantra Abhidhana says: 'Wrathful ones, Buddhas, Thus Gone Ones.' Here, the wrathful ones refer to the ten wrathful ones such as the Crown Wheel-Turner, the Buddhas refer to the four goddesses such as Jyanma, and the Thus Gone Ones refer to the five families. The heroes and heroines are shown as accompanying, so one should visualize accordingly. Then, verbally recite the prayer from the ritual, such as 'Lord, I and'. From this, milky white nectar descends from the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,हूँ,hūṃ,seed syllable), filling the entire body of the father, unable to contain it, flowing from the vajra aperture into the lotus of the mother. Because the mother already has nectar residing within her, the nectar of the father dissolves into it, in the manner of the union of the Samaya being and the Wisdom being, filling the entire body of the mother, and nectar descends from the union of the father and mother.
