古续中说:‘虚空界(Nam-mkha'i khams)位于中央,应观修金刚坛城(rDo-rje'i dkyil-'khor),在金刚坛城之上,也应观修光芒坛城('Od-kyi dkyil-'khor),火坛城(Me'i dkyil-'khor)位于中央,也应观修水,水坛城(Chu'i dkyil-'khor)位于中央,应观修苦行者的大自在(dBang-chen)。’
English
Firstly, the Dharmodaya (Chos-'byung, Sanskrit: Dharmodaya) is the combination of mudras and the realm of space (Nam-mkha'i khams). Secondly, the meaning of the name is: the place of origin of the great bliss (Bde-chen) co-emergent (Lhan-cig skyes-pa), therefore it is called Dharmodaya. Thirdly, detailed classification: From the perspective of emptiness (Stong-phyogs), there are two-cornered, three-cornered, four-cornered, five-cornered, and six-cornered, etc. The first one was spoken by the great accomplished Palajin (Grub-chen dPal-'dzin), and the latter ones were spoken by Jaya Sena (Ja-ya-se). Among them, the three-cornered and four-cornered are conches (Dung), and the six-cornered is wisdom (Shes-pa), and so on. Fourthly, the seed syllable (Sa-bon) is generated from E (ཨེ,梵文:E,梵文罗马拟音:E,English literal meaning: E), which is consistent with the saying of the great accomplished Lotus Born Vajra (Mtsho-skyes rDo-rje). Fifthly, the colors are said to be pure white, pure red, pure yellow, pure blue, etc., but here it refers to white on the outside and red on the inside, which is the combination of skillful means (Thabs) and wisdom (Shes-rab). Sixthly, the shape is: like an inverted triangular Torma (gTor-ma), with one corner shown on the edge, three corners shown on the top, and the root is thin and the top is large, which means that the realization from faith and practice (Mos-spyod) to the Buddha-ground becomes more and more extensive. Seventhly, the meaning of the name is: the three corners on the top represent the three karmas (ཀྱཻ,梵文:Kye,梵文罗马拟音:Kye,English literal meaning: Karma) of body (Sku), speech (Gsung), and mind (Thugs), and the corner at the bottom represents the essence (Snying-po) of the karma (ཀྱཻ,梵文:Kye,梵文罗马拟音:Kye,English literal meaning: Karma) vajra. Furthermore, the three corners on the top represent the manifestation of the three doors of liberation (Rnam-par thar-pa'i sgo gsum), and the unmanifested fourth corner. Eighthly, the objects to be purified are: the four births (Skye-gnas bzhi), namely the womb (Mngal) of the womb-born (Mngal-skyes), the egg of the egg-born (Sgong-skyes), the land of the moisture-born (Drod-bsher), and the impure appearances such as flowers and jewels of the miraculously born (Rdzus-skyes). By transforming these into the Dharmodaya image of the nature of the three doors of liberation and meditating on it, the result of purification is the attainment of the Dharmodaya of the Vajravarahi (rDo-rje btsun-mo) of the Buddha. By meditating on palaces and so on within such a Dharmodaya, beings with strong desires can be subdued. It is also necessary to manifest the Dharmakaya (Chos-sku) unborn (Skye-ba med-pa) as an emanation of birth. Secondly, the limbs of the cause are: In the Root Tantra (rTsa-rgyud) it says: 'E-vam-maya (ཨེ་ཝཾ་མ་ཡ,梵文:E-vaṃ-māyā,梵文罗马拟音:E-vam-maya,English literal meaning: E-vam-maya)', and 'The wheel ('Khor-lo) is earth and water, initially, how to enjoy it reasonably, and the great wind of the gods'. In the Gur Tantra it says: 'Space (Nam-mkha') has matter, is clear, colorless, and has distinctions', these all show the reverse order of the four elements. In the Gur Tantra it says: 'The realm of space (Nam-mkha'i khams) is located in the center, one should meditate on the Vajra Mandala (rDo-rje'i dkyil-'khor), above the Vajra Mandala, one should also meditate on the Mandala of Light ('Od-kyi dkyil-'khor), the Mandala of Fire (Me'i dkyil-'khor) is located in the center, one should also meditate on water, the Mandala of Water (Chu'i dkyil-'khor) is located in the center, one should meditate on the great sovereign of ascetics (dBang-chen).' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
