‘Fill everything. Om! Vajra Kilaya, Kilaya!)’ By reciting this mantra, all the Sugatas of the ten directions and three times, with their compassion and blessings, invite all the power in the form of light, which dissolves into the syllable Hum(ཧཱུྃ, हूँ,hūṃ,seed syllable). Visualize that it transforms into the body of Vajrakila Kumara, adorned with ten wrathful deities. Perform the mudra as instructed, recite the mantra Om Vajrakili, etc., as appropriate, and visualize being blessed. The manner of being adorned with ten wrathful deities will be explained in detail in the following praise. The above are the preliminary practices. Next is the main practice, the cultivation of the three samadhis. Namely: Suchness Samadhi, Sarvabhava Samadhi, and Cause Samadhi. First is Suchness Samadhi. As stated in the sadhana text: 'First, one's own mind, unadorned, emptiness, free from elaboration, the nature of all dharmas, is Suchness Samadhi.' So-called adorning the mind means that if one believes the mind exists, one falls into the extreme of permanence; if one believes the mind does not exist, one falls into the extreme of annihilation. This is adorning the mind. Unadorned means that the mind is neither existent nor non-existent, it is emptiness, free from all elaboration. First of all, the mind is not existent, because if it were, we ordinary beings, although ignorant, should be able to see it, but the all-knowing Buddhas have not seen it. As the Manifestation of Enlightenment states: 'Secret Lord, the mind is not seen by the Buddhas, is not seen, and will not be seen. The mind is not blue, not yellow, not red, not flat, not the color of glass, not short, not long, not round, not square, not light,' 'Not darkness, not male, not female, not hermaphrodite. Secret Lord, the mind is not the nature of the desire realm, not the nature of the form realm,' 'Nor the nature of the formless realm.' This should be understood. The mind is also not non-existent, because if the mind were non-existent, who would be able to perform actions such as walking, speaking, etc.? Who is responsible for ascending to Buddhahood and descending into the lower realms? Therefore, the mind is the seed and the agent of all samsara and nirvana. As the Dohas say: 'The mind alone is the seed of all,' 'Bondage and liberation arise from it.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said: 'I prostrate to the mind, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, which perfectly bestows all desired fruits.' It should be understood as such. Then, what is the mind that is neither existent nor non-existent? This mind cannot be spoken of, nor can it be pointed out. As Je Tilopa said: 'Beyond the path of speech, not the object of words. Tilopa, I have nothing to show.' And in 'Subduing Arrogance' it says: 'Beyond speech and expression is the Great Perfection.' Therefore, this mind is free from the duality of grasping and being grasped, transcends the path of words, and cannot be spoken or expressed. It is emptiness, free from all elaboration, the unconditioned, great self-arising wisdom. This is the nature of all dharmas, yet it does not change from suchness, hence it is called the Samadhi of Suchness. Thus, emptiness free from elaboration pervades all dharmas of samsara and nirvana. The non-conceptual wisdom of the Buddhas is also emptiness, and the deluded mind of sentient beings is also emptiness. Then, are Buddhas and sentient beings not different? Those who have not realized the meaning of the unborn nature of phenomena perceive samsara and nirvana as two, but in ultimate truth, they are not different. As it is said: 'Those who have not seen the truth posit samsara and nirvana. Those who have seen the truth do not posit samsara and nirvana.' Therefore, due to the ignorance of sentient beings, they cling to the habitual tendencies of dualistic appearance as if they were real, and thus appear in the form of samsara, experiencing only the illusions of birth, aging, and so on. When they become free from ignorance, they realize that the basis of illusion—the mind—and the illusions of birth, aging, sickness, death, and so on, are non-dual, which is nirvana. As it is said in the Hevajra Root Tantra: 'Due to ignorance, there is the form of samsara. Without ignorance, samsara is pure. Samsara becomes nirvana.' Similarly, all phenomena that appear as external objects, such as earth, stones, mountains, and rocks, are not separate from one's own mind. As Jamyang Sakya Pandita said: 'What appears is mind itself. That appearance does not exist externally. From the stability or instability of habitual tendencies, distinctions of truth and falsehood are made.' For example, the appearance during a dream is nothing other than one's own mind. Similarly, these appearances of external objects such as mountains and rocks are also nothing other than one's own mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
