'Tsho ma tha thul, bhanydza choms, ra na nyon mongs pa hung phat dgra bgegs khos shig' is said to mean this. First, burn; second, visualize burning and abiding. All these should be sealed off, and visualize the protective wheel. Then, invite the assembly field and perform the seven-branch offering, reciting from 'from one's heart' to 'in the sky'. The visualization of Samadhi is that one visualizes oneself as Vajrakumara (Wrathful Vajrakila), from the 'Hum' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable) syllable in the heart, blue light emanates, the tip is curved like an iron hook, coming out from the right nostril, pervading the space, inviting the mandala of the deity Vajrakumara, inseparable from the Guru, the heroes and dakinis accomplished by wisdom and action, and the oath-bound protectors, etc., into the front space within the protective wheel. Then, make the Vajra summoning mudra and recite 'Vajra Samaja' (藏文:བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཛཿ,梵文罗马拟音:vajra samājaḥ,汉语字面意思:Vajra Samaja). As it is said in the 'Buddha Samayogatantra': 'By the union of Vajrasattva, the two arms are bound in Vajra, by shaking the Vajra bell, one can gather all the Buddhas, what need is there to mention others?' Therefore, by the power of this mantra and mudra, there is no doubt that one can gather everything. Then there is prostration, reciting 'Namo Guru' etc. The visualization is to prostrate to the deities of the mandala of the Guru and Vajrakumara. The meaning of the mantra is: 'Namo Guru Bhyaḥ' (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音:namo guru bhyaḥ,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Guru), homage to the Guru! 'Namo Vajra' etc., homage to the deities of the Vajrakila mandala. Then, in the assembly field, abiding like a pile of clouds, with bright eyes of wisdom, in front of them, taking refuge and doing the seven-branch offering. From 'Three Jewels' to 'held by the mind', join palms and recite three or seven times. The visualization of Samadhi is: the nature of the Three Jewels, is the lord of knowledge, compassion, and power, I and all other sentient beings take refuge in you from the depths of our hearts! We, from the beginning, middle, and end, for the unpredicted and natural transgressions, as well as the vows of individual liberation, the degeneration of the Bodhicitta of the Bodhisattva vow, and the violation of the root and branch vows of the Secret Mantra, etc., all the transgressions, including those committed by oneself, those instigated by others, and those rejoiced in by others, all sins and non-virtuous deeds, today I confess and repent them all! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, in what way should one confess to possess the four powers? One must confess through possessing the four powers. In the space before you, the nature of the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) (三宝,sānbǎo, Three Jewels), with the wisdom eye of clear awareness, abiding as if actually present, this is the power of reliance. For the sins previously committed by oneself, having a strong sense of regret like drinking poison, this is the power of repulsion. Hereafter, even if it costs one's life, knowingly not doing any sinful deeds, this is the power of remedy. In front of these special objects, I confess with such a special method, therefore I have no doubt that my being will be purified, this is the power of restoration, that is, confessing through possessing the four powers. Ordinary beings, Śrāvakas (声闻,shēngwén, Hearer), Pratyekabuddhas (缘觉,yuánjué, Solitary Realizer), Bodhisattvas (菩萨,púsà, Enlightenment Being), and perfectly complete Buddhas (佛陀,fótuó, Buddha), for all virtuous roots included in contaminated and uncontaminated, I abandon jealousy and rejoice. For enlightenment, the ultimate Bodhicitta (菩提心,pútíxīn, Bodhi-mind), the nature of emptiness, I also vow to hold in mind and meditate. Although there are many different classifications of the seven branches, what is relevant here is that prostration and taking refuge in the Three Jewels are listed separately, thus divided into four branches. Confession, rejoicing, and generating Bodhicitta are the fifth, sixth, and seventh branches respectively. Thus, the benefits of the seven branches are explained according to the scriptures. First, the benefit of prostration, the venerable Sakya Paṇḍita said: 'Merely prostrating to the Buddha, one is liberated from Saṃsāra (轮回,lúnhuí, Cyclic Existence).' The benefit of taking refuge, as mentioned above: 'If the merit of seeking refuge had form, even the entire space would be too small to contain it.' The benefit of confession, in the 'Letter to a Friend': 'If one was previously heedless, and later becomes mindful, like the moon free from clouds, beautiful, like Nanda (喜悦,xǐyuè, Joyful), Aṅgulimāla (指鬘,zhǐmán, Garland of Fingers), Drstimat (具见,jùjiàn, Possessing Sight), and Bhadrakara (善护,shànhù, Well Protected).' Therefore, like Ānanda (阿难陀,ānántuó, Ananda) being attached to women, Aṅgulimāla killing nine hundred and ninety-nine people, Drstimat killing his father, and Bhadrakara killing his mother, etc., these sins are also said to be purified through confession. The benefit of rejoicing, in the 'Compendium of Sūtras': 'Even if the Sumeru (须弥山,xūmíshān, Mount Meru) of the three thousand great thousand worlds can be measured with a scale, the merit of rejoicing is not like that.' The benefit of generating Bodhicitta is inconceivable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
