It is the instruction that advises one to practice diligently by relying on it. It is divided into three: the Buddha Jewel (Buddha Ratna), the Dharma Jewel (Dharma Ratna), and the Sangha Jewel (Sangha Ratna). The first has two aspects: definition and classification. The definition is: the Dharmakaya (法身) that possesses the eight qualities, including being unconditioned. The classifications are: Svabhavikakaya (自性身), Sambhogakaya (圆满报身), and Nirmanakaya (化身). The second has two aspects: definition and classification. The definition is: the truth of purification that possesses either of the two sets of three qualities, such as being inconceivable. This is the definition of the Dharma Jewel. The classifications are: Nirodha Satya (灭谛) and Marga Satya (道谛). The third has two aspects: definition and classification. The definition is: the ultimate refuge that possesses the eight qualities of wisdom and liberation. This is the definition of the Sangha Jewel. The classifications are: Bodhisattvas (菩萨) on the path of seeing and Bodhisattvas on the path of meditation. Regarding the instructions on the three kinds of diligence that eliminate obstacles to practice, there are two aspects: definition and explanation of the three kinds of diligence. The definition is: not fixating on the three kinds of diligence in reality, but nominally, it is the instruction that advises one to practice diligently by relying on the three kinds of diligence. The classifications are: diligence without attachment, diligence without fatigue, and diligence that fully embraces the path. The definition of the first is: the mental factor of delighting in virtue without attachment to the actions of body and speech. The definition of the second is: the mental factor of delighting in virtue that serves as an antidote to laziness. The definition of the third is: the mental factor of delighting in virtue that serves as an antidote to self-deprecation and discouragement. Regarding the instructions on the qualities of practice, such as the eyes and clairvoyance, there are two aspects: definition and explanation of the eyes and clairvoyance. The definition is: not fixating on the eyes and clairvoyance in reality, but nominally, it is the instruction that advises one to practice diligently by relying on the eyes and clairvoyance. The second part has an explanation of the eyes and an explanation of clairvoyance. The first part has a definition and classifications. The definition is: the object that directly sees its own realm by relying on the common contributing conditions of the six perfections (Paramita) and the feet of miraculous power, and by relying on the uncommon contributing condition of meditative concentration. The classifications are: the physical eye, the divine eye arising from maturation, the eye of wisdom, the eye of Dharma, and the eye of the Buddha. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It exists. The first has two aspects: definition and scope. The definition is: the common cause is the miraculous foot (rddhi-pāda), and the uncommon cause is the physical eye that has eliminated the faults of meditation. Relying on it, one can see scenes between one hundred and three thousand yojanas (a unit of distance). The scope is: it exists from the accumulation path (saṃbhāra-mārga) of the Mahāyāna to the Buddhahood. The second has two aspects: definition and scope. The definition is: the common cause is the miraculous foot, and the uncommon cause is the divine eye with form arising from the maturation of karma. Relying on it, one can see the birth and death of all sentient beings. The scope is: it exists from the application path (prayoga-mārga) of the Mahāyāna to the Buddhahood. The third has two aspects: definition and scope. The definition is: the common cause is the miraculous foot, and the uncommon cause is the special insight (vipassanā). Relying on it, one does not conceptualize anything about all dharmas (phenomena). The scope is: it exists from the path of seeing (darśana-mārga) to the Buddhahood. The fourth has two aspects: definition and scope. The definition is: the common cause is the miraculous foot, and the uncommon cause is the special insight. Relying on it, one can directly see the differences in realization of all noble beings (ārya-pudgala) who have the same or lower realization than oneself. The scope is: it exists from the post-attainment (prstha-labdha) of the path of seeing to the Buddhahood. The fifth has two aspects: definition and scope. The definition is: the common cause is the miraculous foot, and the uncommon cause is the special insight. Relying on it, one can manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in all ways. The scope is: it exists from the seventh ground (bhūmi) that is in accordance with it, and the one with a complete definition exists only in the Buddhahood. Abhijñā (higher knowledge) has two aspects: definition and classification. The definition is: relying on the cause of meditation, one can directly see one's own object. The classifications are the abhijñā of miraculous power (rddhi), the abhijñā of the divine ear (divya-śrotra), the abhijñā of the divine eye (divya-cakṣus), the abhijñā of knowing the minds of others (para-citta-jñāna), the abhijñā of remembering past lives (pūrva-nivāsānusmrti), and the abhijñā of the exhaustion of defilements (āsravaksaya), which are six. The definition of the first is: relying on the cause of meditation, it is the wisdom of śamatha (calm abiding) and vipassanā (insight) combined, which can cause the earth to shake, etc. Also, relying on the cause of meditation, one can hear the smallest sounds that exist throughout all realms. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
