The purpose is to easily understand the essence of the scriptures; the necessity is to fully realize all eight Abhisamayas (现观,manifest realization). The relationship between the treatise and the body is that the treatise 'Abhisamayalankara' (现观庄严论,The Ornament of Clear Realization) and the eight Abhisamayas (现观,manifest realization) it expounds are related in the manner of means and what is accomplished. Next, explaining Prajnaparamita (般若波罗蜜多,Perfection of Wisdom) as the basis of classification, and the unsurpassed complete enlightenment with its branches as the result. The third part explains the Abhisamayas (现观,manifest realization) expounded in the scriptures and treatises, divided into: explaining Prajnaparamita (般若波罗蜜多,Perfection of Wisdom) as the basis of classification; Explaining the eight Abhisamayas (现观,manifest realization) with their branches as the objects of classification. First, explaining Prajnaparamita (般若波罗蜜多,Perfection of Wisdom) as the basis of classification, divided into definition and classification. The definition is: the non-dual wisdom that has transcended Samsara (轮回,cyclic existence) and Nirvana (寂灭,peace), or any that has transcended, is transcending, or can transcend, is the definition of Prajnaparamita (般若波罗蜜多,Perfection of Wisdom). The classifications are: Sutra Prajnaparamita (经般若波罗蜜多,Scriptural Perfection of Wisdom), Path Prajnaparamita (道般若波罗蜜多,Path Perfection of Wisdom), Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom), and Result Prajnaparamita (果般若波罗蜜多,Result Perfection of Wisdom). First, the definition of Sutra Prajnaparamita (经般若波罗蜜多,Scriptural Perfection of Wisdom) is: the consciousness that appears as a collection of names, words, and sentences, mainly expounding Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom), is the definition of Sutra Prajnaparamita (经般若波罗蜜多,Scriptural Perfection of Wisdom). For example: the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra spoken by the Buddha. Second, the definition of Path Prajnaparamita (道般若波罗蜜多,Path Perfection of Wisdom) is: the wisdom that directly realizes Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom), is the definition of Path Prajnaparamita (道般若波罗蜜多,Path Perfection of Wisdom). The classifications are: the Seeing Path (见道,Path of Seeing), the Meditation Path (修道,Path of Meditation), and the No-More-Learning Path (无学道,Path of No More Learning) of the Mahayana (大乘,Great Vehicle). Third, the definition of Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom) is: the suchness of emptiness of both the apprehended and the apprehender, is the definition of Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom). The classifications are: the Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom) of those in training and the Self-nature Prajnaparamita (自性般若波罗蜜多,Self-nature Perfection of Wisdom) of the Buddha ground. Fourth, the definition of Result Prajnaparamita (果般若波罗蜜多,Result Perfection of Wisdom) is: that which has already transcended Samsara (轮回,cyclic existence) and Nirvana (寂灭,peace), is the definition of Result Prajnaparamita (果般若波罗蜜多,Result Perfection of Wisdom). For example: the non-dual wisdom of the Bhagavan (世尊,Blessed One) Buddha, like an illusion. Next, explaining the eight Abhisamayas (现观,manifest realization) with their branches as the objects of classification, divided into: explaining the Three Wisdoms (三智,Three Wisdoms) with their branches; explaining the Four Applications (四加行,Four Applications) with their branches; and explaining the Dharmakaya (法身,Dharma Body) with its branches. First, explaining the Three Wisdoms (三智,Three Wisdoms) with their branches, divided into: explaining the unsurpassed complete enlightenment with its branches as the result; explaining the Path Wisdom (道智,Path Wisdom) with its branches as the cause; and explaining the Base Wisdom (基智,Base Wisdom) as the basis for distinguishing cause and non-cause. First, explaining the unsurpassed complete enlightenment with its branches, divided into: explaining the unsurpassed complete enlightenment that is being explained; and explaining the Dharma (法,phenomena) that explains the unsurpassed complete enlightenment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
