广释论典五部地论是:《摄事分》(Sa'i dNgos gZhi bsDu ba)、《决择分》(gTan la dBab pa bsDu ba)、《事择分》(gZhi bsDu ba)、《分别分》(rNam Grangs bsDu ba)、《释门分》(rNam Par bShad Pa'i sGo bsDu ba)这五种。 自著五部是:《二十唯识论释》(Nyishu Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa)、《三十颂释》(Sum chu Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa)、《业成就论释》(Las Grub Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa)、《五蕴论释》(Phung Po lNga'i Rab tu Byed pa)、《解说正理》(rNam bShad Rigs pa)这五部。

Furthermore, regarding the treatises authored by the brothers Asanga (Thogme), there are two types. The root text is authored by the venerable Maitreya (Jejun Jampa), which are the Five Dharmas of Maitreya (Jampa'i Chos Nga). The Five Dharmas of Maitreya are: 'Ornament of the Sutras' (mDo sDe rGyan), 'Ornament of Clear Realization' (mNgon rTogs rGyan), 'Uttaratantra' (rGyud Bla Ma), 'Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes' (dBus mTha' rNam 'Byed), and 'Distinguishing Dharma from Dharmata' (Chos Nyid rNam 'Byed). Among the treatises authored by the brothers Asanga, there are those authored by Asanga and those authored by Vasubandhu (Dhyig Nyen). Those authored by Asanga include: the extensive treatises, the Five Sandhi Treatises (Sa sDe lNga), and the concise treatises, the Two Compendiums (sDom rNam Pa gNyis). The extensive treatises, the Five Sandhi Treatises, are: 'Compendium of the Basis' (Sa'i dNgos gZhi bsDu ba), 'Compendium of Determinations' (gTan la dBab pa bsDu ba), 'Compendium of the Foundation' (gZhi bsDu ba), 'Compendium of Categories' (rNam Grangs bsDu ba), and 'Compendium of the Doorways of Explanation' (rNam Par bShad Pa'i sGo bsDu ba). The concise treatises, the Two Compendiums, are: the common vehicle's compendium, 'Abhidharma-samuccaya' (mNgon Pa Kun las bsTus), and the uncommon Mahayana compendium, such as 'Mahayana-samgraha' (Theg bsDus). Those authored by Vasubandhu include eight commentaries. The eight commentaries are: five self-authored and three commentaries on others, totaling eight. The five self-authored are: 'Commentary on the Twenty Verses' (Nyishu Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa), 'Commentary on the Thirty Verses' (Sum chu Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa), 'Commentary on the Establishment of Action' (Las Grub Pa'i Rab tu Byed pa), 'Commentary on the Five Aggregates' (Phung Po lNga'i Rab tu Byed pa), and 'Explanation of Reasoning' (rNam bShad Rigs pa). The three commentaries on others are: 'Commentary on the Ornament of the Sutras' (mDo sDe rGyan gyi 'Grel pa), 'Commentary on Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes' (dBus mTha'i 'Grel pa), and 'Commentary on the Sutra of Dependent Arising' (rTen 'Brel mDo 'Grel). Now, in order to explain the 'Ornament of Clear Realization' along with its commentary, first, there is the branch of respectful entry—the offering of praise. Among these treatises, now, in order to explain the 'Ornament of Clear Realization' along with its commentary, first, there is the branch of respectful entry—the offering of praise, second, the branch of entry into the treatise—the necessity and connection, and finally, the subject matter of the sutra and treatise—the explanation of clear realization. First, it is divided into two parts: the nature and the divisions. The nature is: the wisdom that benefits one's own son, the noble ones, is merely the nature of the mother of offering. The divisions are: the mother who generates the uncontaminated aggregates, and the mother who accomplishes the desired meaning. First, it is divided into two parts: the nature and the divisions. The nature is: the wisdom that newly generates the uncontaminated aggregates is the nature of the mother who generates the uncontaminated aggregates. The divisions are: faith in the Mahayana Dharma, the wisdom that realizes selflessness, meditation, loving-kindness, and great compassion. Among these, faith in the Mahayana Dharma is similar to the father's seed; the wisdom that realizes selflessness is what generates... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wisdom is like a mother, similar to discipline. Contemplation is like a womb of bliss, similar to discipline. Loving-kindness and great compassion are like a mother who nurtures those already born, as it is said: In the 'Uttaratantra': 'Faith in the supreme vehicle is the seed, wisdom is the mother who gives birth to the Buddhas, contemplation is the womb of bliss, and it possesses the mother of compassion.' Therefore, these are the descendants of the Buddha. Secondly, the 'mother' who accomplishes the desired purpose has two aspects: characteristics and divisions. The characteristic is: the knowledge that can accomplish the wishes of her son, the noble one. There are three divisions: the base knowledge of the offering mother, the path knowledge of the offering mother, and the omniscient knowledge of the offering mother. The first one, the characteristic is: the knowledge that can accomplish the wishes of her son, the Hinayana noble one, is the characteristic of the base knowledge of the offering mother. The base knowledge of the Hinayana actually accomplishes the wishes of her son, the Hinayana noble one. The base knowledge of the Bodhisattva noble one accomplishes the wishes of the Hinayana noble one indirectly. The wishes of the Hinayana noble one are for the two nirvanas. The two nirvanas are: the nirvana with remainder and the nirvana without remainder. The first one, the characteristic is: the separate cessation of the Hinayana with the remaining aggregates of suffering, which is the complete abandonment of the origin of all afflictions and the result of the ripening of afflictions, is the characteristic of the nirvana with remainder. An example is: the separate cessation in the continuum of a Shravaka Arhat who has not abandoned the activities of life. The second one, the characteristic is: the separate cessation of the Hinayana without the remaining aggregates of suffering, which is the complete abandonment of the origin of all afflictions and the result of the ripening of afflictions, is the characteristic of the nirvana without remainder. An example is: the separate cessation in the continuum of a Shravaka Arhat who has abandoned the activities of life. Secondly, the characteristic of the path knowledge of the offering mother is: the knowledge that can accomplish the wishes of her son, the Bodhisattva noble one, is the characteristic of the path knowledge of the offering mother. The path knowledge of the Dharmadhatu actually accomplishes the wishes of her son, the Bodhisattva noble one. The path knowledge of the Buddha ground accomplishes the wishes of the Bodhisattva noble one indirectly. The wish of the Bodhisattva noble one is: to accomplish the benefit of the world by taking birth in samsara for the sake of others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
