此外,从对治的角度对修道进行分类,有四种:破斥的对治(sun 'byin pa'i gnyen po,通过智慧破斥烦恼),断除的对治(spong pa'i gnyen po,通过修行断除烦恼),所依的对治(rten gyi gnyen po,以正见为基础的对治),持续的对治(thag sring ba'i gnyen po,持续不断地进行对治)。

Secondly, the divisions are: final abode, distinct, exhaustion, subjugation, and aspiration abode, these five. Furthermore, dividing the path of meditation from the perspective of antidotes, there are four: the antidote of refutation, the antidote of abandonment, the antidote of reliance, and the antidote of prolongation. Their definitions are, respectively: the direct perception of the Hearers, abiding in the category of suppressing, with the power of refuting the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, which are the portion of their own share. The direct perception of the Hearers who actually abandon them. (The direct perception of the Hearers who are liberated from them.) Being liberated from them is the direct perception of the Hearers, whether liberated or not. Thirdly, the qualities: it abandons the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, and it obtains the eightfold noble path. These eight are: right view, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration, right speech, right action, and right diligence. As it is said: 'Right view, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration, right speech, right action, and right diligence, these eight are the limbs of the path.' Fourthly, the etymology: because one constantly meditates on the person who has realized the selflessness of the individual, it is called the path of meditation. Because it is realized after the direct realization of the truth, it is called subsequent direct perception. Thirdly, regarding the classification of abandonment and result, there are definition and division. Firstly, the definition: the liberation from the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, which are the portion of the uninterrupted path of the path of meditation of the Hearers, which is its own cause. Secondly, dividing from the perspective of essence, there are two: the conditioned result and the unconditioned result. The definitions are, respectively: the subsequent direct perception of the Hearers, which has become the path of liberation from actually liberating from it; and the unconditioned purity truth in the continuum of the Hearers meditators who are liberated from it. Secondly, the divisions are: gradual result and sudden result. Firstly, the gradual result: the nine results of liberation from the nine afflictions of the desire realm. Similarly, the nine results of liberation from the nine afflictions between the first dhyana, the second dhyana, the third dhyana, the fourth dhyana, the infinity of space, the infinity of consciousness, and nothingness. The eight results of liberation from the first three afflictions of the peak of existence. There is no path of meditation of the path of liberation from the ninth affliction of that, because if the ninth affliction of existence is abandoned, then it must be the result of the Arhat of the Hearers. Secondly, in terms of the sudden, there are also definition and division. Firstly, the definition: the uninterrupted path of meditation of the Hearers, which is its own cause, abiding in the category of being able to suddenly abandon the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation of the three realms. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The liberation of a Shravaka practitioner from the afflictions of the path's nature, or how can it be divided? It can be divided into eight types of liberation that remove the first eight of the afflictions to be abandoned through cultivation in the three realms. There is no ninth liberation, because the fruit of abandoning the ninth affliction immediately becomes the fruit of an Arhat. From the perspective of the basis, the individual, there are three: the fruit of Stream-enterer, the fruit of Once-returner, and the fruit of Non-returner. The first is further divided into two: the gradual Stream-enterer and the immediate Stream-enterer. The latter two are divided into the fruit of detachment preceding and the gradual fruit, making a total of six. The fourth question concerns the classification of individuals abiding in these fruits, divided into the definition and classification of Shravaka practitioners. The first part is: the noble Shravaka learner who has arisen after completing the sixteen moments of the path of seeing and before the unlearned path of the Shravaka has arisen. The second part is the classification: from the perspective of essence, there are two types of Shravaka practitioners: those who possess the Shravaka path of cultivation and those who possess the Pratyekabuddha path of cultivation. From the perspective of fruit, there are three: the Stream-enterer fruit-stayer, the Once-returner fruit-stayer, and the Non-returner fruit-stayer. The first is further divided into two, and its definition is: the Shravaka path of cultivation that is distinguished by abandoning the three fetters to be abandoned by seeing. The second is the classification, divided into the gradual Stream-enterer fruit-stayer and the immediate Stream-enterer fruit-stayer. The first refers to the Stream-enterer who has become a Shravaka practitioner, abiding in the lineage of gradually abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned through cultivation in the three realms; this is its definition. Classification: divided into those who are merely fruit-stayers and those with special qualities, the definitions being: not striving and striving to attain the Once-returner fruit, respectively. The second type, the immediate one, its definition is: abiding in the lineage of immediately abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned through cultivation in the three realms. Classification: divided into those who are merely fruit-stayers and those with special qualities, the definitions being: not striving and striving to attain the immediate Arhat fruit, respectively. The second type, the Once-returner fruit-stayer, also has two parts: definition and classification. The first part is: the Shravaka learner fruit-stayer with five qualities, distinguished by abandoning the sixth affliction of the desire realm, not abiding in the lineage of the Stream-enterer. Classification: divided into the Once-returner with detachment preceding and the gradual Once-returner, each of which can be further subdivided. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
