One should not be biased. Second, the way to liberate the six sense faculties is: by realizing the self-face of emptiness, in the nature of emptiness, there is no eye, no ear, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind. Third, the way to liberate the six objects is: thus, because the six sense faculties that grasp objects do not cling to the objects, there is no grasping of the six objects such as form and sound, that is, no form, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no dharma. Fourth, the way to liberate the eighteen realms is: the six sense faculties arise without conceptualization, the six objects are known as self-appearance, and the grasping of the six consciousness aggregates is cut off, that is, from the absence of the eye realm to the absence of the mind realm, and even to the absence of the mind consciousness realm. Fifth, the way to liberate the twelve links of dependent origination is: it is shown by 'no ignorance, no extinction of ignorance, and even no old age and death, no extinction of old age and death'. To sum up, what is directly shown is that in the nature of profound emptiness, the twelve links of dependent origination that arise together are not established; while the hidden meaning is that in the gateway of the manifestation of emptiness, the twelve links of dependent origination of co-emergent afflictions manifest in a forward manner, leading to wandering in samsara, and the twelve links of dependent origination of purification manifest in a reverse manner, leading to the attainment of liberation and nirvana. Both are included here. To explain further, there are two ways: how samsara arises from the dependent origination of co-emergent afflictions, and how nirvana is attained from the dependent origination of purification. The first is: the nature of mind is the essence of the Sugata (Tathāgatagarbha), the Buddha of naturally pure essence, but due to co-emergent ignorance, one does not recognize one's own nature, and ignorance arises. Due to the condition of ignorance, actions are accumulated, causing consciousness to arise clearly. Consciousness divides objects into different categories, recognizing 'this is this, that is that'. Where is it recognized? It is recognized in name and form. By what is it recognized? It is recognized by the six sense sources. From name and form arise the six sense sources, and when the senses and objects meet, contact arises. From contact, feelings are experienced. From feelings, craving arises. From craving, one enters the womb. Entering the womb leads to taking a body in samsara. Taking a body leads to birth, old age, sickness, death, and so on, this is the aggregation of suffering in samsara. The second is the way to attain nirvana from the dependent origination of purification: through the instructions of the supreme Guru, the profound reality is revealed, causing ignorance to cease in the absence of an object, actions to be separated from their root, and consciousness to be empty in its own nature.

dissolving into the Dharmadhatu. Not grasping at names and forms; without grasping, the six sense bases are pure and self-illuminating. Being pure, they do not touch external objects with inherent existence. Not touching, they do not experience feelings. Not experiencing, craving for experience does not arise. Not craving, they do not enter the womb, and do not take a body in cyclic existence. Not taking a body, they are liberated from the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and attain Nirvana. Now, if here it is said that 'existence' is followed by 'grasping,' while most sutras and treatises say that 'grasping' is followed by 'existence,' is there a contradiction in the order? There is no contradiction. Because the object to which the word 'existence' refers has two meanings: one is that the actions that accomplish cyclic existence are called 'existence,' and the other is that 'existence' is cyclic existence, referring to the entirety of cyclic existence. What is said in the sutras and treatises follows the first order, while here it follows the latter order, so there is no error. Sixth, the way the Four Noble Truths are liberated: similarly, it is indicated by 'no suffering,' 'no origin,' 'no cessation,' and 'no path.' That is, in the nature of profound emptiness, suffering includes the three kinds of suffering, so it is 'no suffering'; afflictions and actions include contaminated actions, so it is 'no origin'; the cessation of suffering and its origin is 'no cessation'; striving to attain cessation is 'no path.' However, in the manifestation of emptiness, suffering and its origin include cyclic existence through cause and effect, and cessation and the path include Nirvana through cause and effect. Seventh, the way the body and wisdom are liberated: it is indicated by 'no wisdom,' 'no attainment,' and 'also no non-attainment.' Its meaning is that in the state of the naturally pure Dharmadhatu, awareness dissolves into wisdom, transcending the distinction between knower and known, so there is no self-existent wisdom, hence 'no wisdom.' In this way, merely the self-manifesting delusion is liberated, and apart from that, there is no 'Buddha' with eyes, ears, nose, and tongue to be attained, so it is 'no attainment.' Even so, due to the power of aspiration, in the external manifestation, there is still a form body and wisdom, and it continuously benefits beings to be tamed, so it is 'also no non-attainment.' Second, explaining from the perspective of the hidden meaning of luminous awareness: the points mentioned earlier can also be applied in this way: form is mind, mind is form. Form is not different from mind. Similarly, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are also like this. Shariputra (舍利弗,Śāriputra), all dharmas are mind, without characteristics, etc. This way of combining is the hidden meaning. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
