Then, they gave འབྲོག་ (Drog) and སྟག་ (Tag) fifty gold coins, as well as countless items such as musk, yak tails, copperware, and wool. The patrons and others agreed to provide offerings and service according to their merits. During this time, the great lama had A-tsa-ra (Acharya) study the memory method of བིག་བར་ཏི་ (Big Barti) so that he could immediately master the language, and named him (Lha Buwa Pandita). After that, the four disciples of འབྲོག་ (Drog) and སྟག་ (Tag), along with one A-tsa-ra (Acharya), a total of five people, disguised themselves as beggars and set off. In the center of Nepal, they requested empowerment and transmission from the Nepalese ཞི་བ་བཟང་པོ་ (Shiwa Sangpo). They stayed there peacefully for about a year. (Drog) became the most outstanding translator. (Lyang) also learned to speak fluently, while སྟག་ལོ་ (Taglo) only knew how to recite the Heart Sutra in Chinese, and nothing else. After that, the lama requested teachings from the Nepalese and prepared to go to India. The Nepalese said, 'First go to Bodh Gaya (Rdo rje gdan, Sanskrit: Vajrāsana, Diamond Throne, meaning the place of enlightenment), and pray to the Great Bodhi. Then go to Bhi ka ma la shi la, because it is now the place where the Dharma is flourishing. In that monastery, there are five hundred learned panditas, among whom there are six outstanding scholars. And the most outstanding of these six is my guru Śānti pa, who used to be from western India.' 'Some time ago, the Yidam prophesied that he would go to Śrīka ma la shi la to promote the Dharma. At that time, an elderly abbot of that monastery dreamed that 'Tomorrow, someone will bring the Dharma to the East, so be sure to greet and offer them well.' So, at the first light of dawn, he rang the ghaṇṭā (Sanskrit: ghaṇṭā, bell) to gather the Sangha. He had about ten similar dreams. When it dawned, Śānti pa and his fifty disciples, with scriptures and various utensils, set out on their journey. The Sangha and patrons pleaded with them to stay and receive offerings, but he did not agree, but went to Bhi ka ma shi la, where they settled down. In order to guard the east gate, they stayed there for a few days.' 'Thirty-seven Arhats (Sanskrit: Arhat, worthy one) from all directions came by means of miraculous powers and listened to many teachings, including the four Vinayas. His fame spread in all directions. So, be sure to consult him well. In addition, there is (Ngag Wang Dragpa), the guardian of the south gate, (Shé Jhung Lodrö), the guardian of the west gate, Nāro ta pa, the guardian of the north gate, and ཀ་ཆེན་རིན་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ (Ga Chen Rinchen Dorje) and ཛྙ་ན་ཤྲི་ (Jñānaśrī) in the center. Also ask them for some Dharma.' He gave thorough instructions. The great lama's brothers also did the same. They gradually... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He went to Kāmaśīla. At that time, the great lama, according to the teachings of Śāntipa and his disciples, learned all the remaining aspects of Vinaya, Prajñāpāramitā, Madhyamaka, Pramāṇa, and the stages of Tantra. In particular, he learned the teachings known as the 'Six Doors of Dharma,' which is Śāntipa's blending of Sutra and Tantra. From Ngagwang Drakpa, he obtained the innate clarity of awareness; from Shejayung Lodrö, he obtained the method to dispel the obstacles of external demons; from Nāropa, he obtained the method to dispel the three sufferings; from Jñānaśrī, he obtained the method to dispel the obstacles of the elements causing physical ailments; from Rinchen Dorje, he obtained the method to dispel the obstacles of Samadhi and mind. In short, he spent eight years completing his studies. After that, he went to the presence of the Great Compassionate One, who was invited from Potala by Mipam Spai Shenyen, the hidden spiritual friend. After piling up sand on the ground and praying, Chawa appeared in the early morning and said, 'From here on the way, a lama will take care of you. In Tibet, there will also be someone who opens the door to Dharma. You only need to listen to the Dharma and focus on practice.' He received such a prophecy. He was very happy and on the way back, he arrived at a forest called Kuwa Tsal. From deep in the forest, he heard the sound of a lute. At that moment, a monk with three Dharma robes and a staff, struck the tree with his staff. The tree goddess transformed into an image with white and soft arms adorned with ornaments, offering food without showing her body. He also saw the tree goddess drawing water. He thought, 'Could it be that the prophecy of the Great Compassionate One has come true?' He was very happy, grabbed the monk's feet, and asked to be taken care of. The monk agreed and went to a place called Hate, near a village with a large market. He asked to receive secret mantras, and the monk said, 'I must control my own Dharma.' After preparing the necessary items from Hate, the monk gave the three Hevajra initiations and instructions. If it is only said that the great lama went to India once, then he stayed there for four years and received these teachings. But if it is said that he went twice, then it means that he received the initiation and instructions here. The lama said, 'I rely on non-humans and the king of medicine, so I do not lack resources. But for the auspiciousness of secret mantras, resources are needed. So you go to Tibet, collect gold and other items, and return in three years, and I will give you the instructions. The Buddhas have blessed you so that there will be no obstacles.' He replied, 'Yes, sir.' Then he asked, 'Where will you be staying during that time? What is your real name?' The lama replied, 'I am King Tsanaka.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
